Relentless ~

And so she died a little inside;

Every time he looked at her.

She watched them share a smile

And hopelessly wished

Hopelessly wanted that smile to be,

Her own to share.

She tried hard to deny it

To the world, to herself

It seemed impossible

With the twinkle in his eyes,

Ever time he smiled,

Every time he laughed

His happiness was hers.

She felt them butterflies inside

Dancing spritely in his presence

Trying hard not to show it

Then again, who would notice?

They were blind to what she felt

Blind to what she hoped for,

And so was he.
