We walk into doctor Roy's office the first time since I've had my surgery. We wait for him until he finally calls us. We enter his office and sit. He sits in his chair and rolls infront of me. "The swollen parts should be gone by now so let's.." He begins taking of the wrapped up bandage around my face off "take this off so you can see the new you Veronica" he takes the last strip off and I stay still as he examines my face with a smile "another success don't you agree Daniel" Daniel gets up and stands infront of me as well a smile creeps on his face
"Yes sir I do"
"Now no swelling should happen but if it does call me right away okay" Daniel nods "alright enjoy your new face" he gives me a mirror and I slowly grab it I close my eyes as I put the mirror infront of my face then I finally get the courage and open my eyes. The person I see in the mirror I do not know. I look completely different I do not recognize myself at all. My eyes get watery and I look away with a forced smile
My voice cracks as I say " thank you"

"You wanna know where we are going?" He ask me as he makes a right turn "of course you do I can see it in that pretty face of yours. Well we are going to a hair salon" he stops at a red light "because you my dear will be a blonde from now on"
"Daniel please...the surgery was enough"
He grabs my hand and intertwined his fingers with mine and squeezes it "not for me"
He finds a parking spot and drags me inside the hair salon. We are quickly greeted by this lady who mostly greets Daniel and checks him out. She automatically tells me to take a seat. I sit and she wraps a black thing around my neck and begin playing with my red hair
"Your husband says blonde" she looks at my ends "I agree and while we do that lets give you a haircut sweetie okay"
I nod and she begins working on my hair. She first washes it then dries it after that she dies my hair and once that's done she begins cutting it. Once she's done she makes beach waves and then turns me around so I can see myself. "Wow you look great" she says before walking off. I stand there looking at this new person. A Pearson I don't recognize my face is different and my hair is shorter way shorter it stops a a bit below my neck and it's blonde now. I turn around once I feel someone's presence
"My oh my Veronica do you look pretty" I force a smile but that hurt. Why just pretty? After all this transformation he only sees me as pretty? I don't know why that hurt but I brush it aside. "Let's go home shall we" he grabs my hand and leads me to the car

Dylan looks at me examining me as I walk through the door"Veronica?" I nod and look at the floor "damn you look well you look..different" he says as he keeps examining my face
"She looks brand new doesn't she?" Daniel says in a proud voice in a way you would talk about your car not a humane being
"Well yea she does. I didn't recognize her"
"That's the whole point" Daniel says as he kisses my lips once again dryly
"I see" Dylan stops looking at me and looks at Daniel "your brother called today"
Daniel fidgets and moves away from me and starts walking away "I'll be in my office" I stand there and head to the stairs
"I liked the real you but I must admit you look beautiful" Dylan shouts from behind. I slow down and take in the word beautiful because I haven't felt that way in forever and the only person that would call me that was Derek. I close my eyes take a deep breath and keep walking
"Thank you"
