I woke up to hushed voices and the sun blinding me. "What happened?" I said tilting to the right so the sun is not facing at me anymore.

"Honey, Shawn carried you home. You scared me to death," my mom scolded. My head was still throbbing but it decreased.

"Hey Jo. You looked better than before," a weak smile was Shawn on his face. I made a face and sat up. "Shawn what are you doing here?!? We have school," I jumped out of bed but Shawn pushed me back down.

"School doesn't start until 8:25. I have 45 minutes but you are not going to school," he said.

I ran through my crazy hair and found leaves in it from last night. "But Shawn yesterday was my first day at Evergreen," I whined like a five year old.

He went quiet and was listing of the pros and cons. "Fine fine you can go," Shawn said. I shooed him out of my room and went to change.

My outfit today is a hoodie and jeans. I went downstairs to Shawn falling off of Luke's skateboard. I was about to comment something when my eye catches some warm pancakes with peanut butter on it. Peanut butter is good on everything. "Shawn, do you want some of my pancakes?" I questioned with my mouth full.

A what the fuck look appeared on his face, dropped the skateboard and walked to were I was at. "Hey let's go. I have to pick up Caroline," he said already grabbing his keys and backpack.

I nodded and grabbed my backpack too.
"Can I please have your Jeep?" I stared at it once again. "Nope" he said popping the p. I hopped in the passenger seat and went through his cds he had in his car.

A blue cd cover catches my eye and I took it out of the pile. "Oh my god," I squealed in excitement.

Shawn started the car, "what?" he said but saw what I had in my hand. "Oh, you like Ed Sheeran?" I nodded with excitement.

Barcelona came on, I sang the lyrics so loud. Shawn was singing it too while I was staring at him with my jaw open. "You have a fucking good voice dude," I admitted.

He scratched his neck, "I uh I'm a singer, Jo," he said. "That's cool," I said.
We waited at Caroline's driveway. She basically lives in a mansion. While she was walking towards the car, Shawn honked the horn which mad she her jump dropping her stuff. He laughed and flipped her off when she flipped him off. The rest is the car ride was just Shawn and Caroline cussing each other out for fun.
I closed the car door and found Jonah at his locker.

"Hey Jonah," I sang. He put his index finger out, "Stop. You are not Gabriella Montez." I roared with laughter, "And you aren't Troy Bolten." He gave me yes-I-am look.
We both laughed until the bitch came with her broken nose.

"Jonah why are hanging out with her?" She sounded disgusted. "Sorry, I didn't get that. I don't speak bullshit," he said.

I snickered. She whipped her head,"Aren't you that person who had pizza and orange all over yourself yesterday?" She smirked. "Aren't you that person who got her ass beat by me? I can do it again if you want?" She frowned and I smirked. She flipped her hair and turned around.

Jonah put his hand in the air and I gladly high fived him.

"Hey Sarah, what's up?" I put my tray down on the table. She put her book down and smiled, "hey dude." Jonah joined us after a few minutes later with wild eyes, papers not organised in his arms, and his backpack not even fixed correctly.

"I need help on my homework. Please," he responded, catching his breath. Sarah sighed and agreed to help him.

On my right, I saw Caroline and Shawn arguing. Caroline was frantically throwing her arms in the air while Shawn was being calm. They went on for a couple of minutes until Caroline finally exploded and left the cafeteria. Shawn looked as if he should go to her but he didn't. Why isn't he going after her? I turned around to see the table empty. I guess Sarah and Jonah went to a library since the cafeteria was really loud. I grabbed my backpack and walked towards Shawn.

"Hey," I softly said sitting next to him. No response. "Are you okay?" I said and he finally looked at me.

"Caroline and I aren't friends anymore. After 4 years...she left. She left me because she thought I was holding her against popularity," he whispered. "Popularity! Can you believe that?" Shawn shook his head. "Maybe I am worthless to her."

"You aren't worthless, Shawn." He gave me a weak smile. The bell rang and we got up. Sadly, we didn't have any periods after lunch. I hugged him, "Everything will be okay," I whispered to his ear and walked to my class alone.

A group of guys surrounded me, making groan. They looked muscular but some of them looked lean. The guy in the middle looked buff as fuck, guessing it's the leader. The leader looked at me with a sneer. He looked as if he was the ultimate jock.

"If you're here because your lame ass girlfriend complained about me, then go for it. Hit a girl who is 2x smaller than you," I announced with a bored look on my face and pretending to look at my nails.

Suddenly my cheek was throbbing with pain, like a brick was dropped from a building. "You said I can go for it," the leader said smirking. "Derek, Sam, hold her arms," he demanded.
A tall guy with brown hair and a good ass jawline smiled at me dangerously, which got me a little scared. Then the another guy who was lean with dirty blonde hair and grey eyes also emerged from the group that was surrounding me. Each of them took one of my arms, making me grunt when they secured me tightly.

Now I felt weak, "What the fuck dude?!? I just roasted your girlfriend.I didn't even kill her, well I wanted to, but I didn't kill her," I yelled at him, struggling trying to break free.

A guy came up to him, "Mason, isn't this a little too harsh? I mean it's a girl not a guy. Rebecca needs to fight her problems not you. Let her go," my saver said.

Mason thought about it and nodded his head. He gestured Derek and Sam to let go of me. I rubbed my wrists where they gripped on. Mason walked over to me too close for my liking, "If you ever do anything to Rebecca, you'll wish you didn't," he threatened pointing his finger at me.

I smiled innocently, "Fine," I lied. "But here's one thing," I gestured to him so I can tell him in his ear. I took all the strength I had in me and punched where it hurt the most. He collapsed and groaned in pain.

I ran, "Get her," he commanded. I took lefts and rights but footsteps were getting closer. I turned a left and collided to a pole. Well it wasn't a pole, it was a body.

"Ugh Shawn, we have to stop meeting like this," I groaned in pain but was scared for my life. "Come on," a voice said. I found the closest door and went inside, grabbing Shawn with me. It was easier to see him since light from the hallway was going through the bottom of the door. "What are we doing in a janitor closet?" Shawn wondered. I shushed him. Voices and footsteps were in front of the door. I silently prayed. God must've answered me because the guys finally ran away from the door. Until footsteps weren't heard anymore, I flung the door open. I tripped on something and then a mop hit me. I rubbed my head.

"What the hell was that, Jo?" he said looking shocked.

"Long story short, Rebecca's boyfriend Mason and his group tried to jump me but one of friends stopped him. I wasn't satisfied so I punched Mason where it doesn't shine too well," I confessed. Shawn stared at me and bursted out laughing, "oh god this is better than going to the bathroom." I chuckled. "I mean this is your second day here and you're already getting into some trouble," he admitted, and held his hand in the air.
I gladly high-fived him. I guess Sarah was kinda right. Maybe I am a bad girl.
