CHAPTER 7: Falling Tears

Chun Gyeol arrived at the YG Building. She heads straight to the café to meet Youngbae. And when she arrived there, she immediately saw him… talking to someone… and that someone is… Jia.

(enter song: Love Story)

They looked like they were having fun chatting. They were laughing while conversing with each other until Youngbae notice her.

Youngbae: “Chun Gyeol,”

She turned and walked away. Youngbae stood up to follow her.

Youngbae: “Chun Gyeol,” (he calls)

Until she stopped and turned on him.

Chun Gyeol: “Here’s your lunch.”

She pushed the paper bag unto him.

Youngbae: (grabbed her hand before she can walk away again) “Chun Gyeol-ah!”

Chun Gyeol: “You purposely did this, didn’t you? You called me to come here just to see you with that girl!”

And she’s mad, really mad.

Youngbae: “I didn’t mean that.”

Chun Gyeol: “You haven’t change. You’re still a liar.” (turns away)

Youngbae: “Hey. You call me a liar? And how about you?”

She turned back.

Chun Gyeon: “What?”

Youngbae: “This morning, you told me you’re meeting Mi Ram but you met up with that guy. If I didn’t see you, I will not know, right?”

Chun Gyeol: “Excuse me? We’re ‘over’, remember? You shouldn’t care who I am with.”

Youngbae: “And you shouldn’t care who I am talking to. But then, here you are, acting like a jealous wife.”

Chun Gyeol: “I am not jealous.”

Youngbae: “Then what?”

Chun Gyeol: “I’m disgusted! I hate you both especially that girl! Because whenever I remember her, I remember everything you made me felt and everything I have to go through because of you.” (then her tears fell off, she wiped it before turning away)

Youngbae was stunned and was left alone.

Chun Gyeol hurriedly walked out. She took the first taxi she saw outside the building. Her tears keep falling from her eyes. And now, all the pain she felt is just as fresh as before. All her miserable moments came back to her.

Those nights when he had dinner outside while she waits for him and the food she cooked had gone cold. That night when he called her ‘Jia’. The nights when she cries at the balcony. Those nights when she has to drink soju to sleep. The night she saw them kissing. The days and nights she has to go through alone.

All those moments are coming back to her now. She’s hurt again. And she’s crying again.

Youngbae is on his car while he waits for Chun Gyeol at the school. Her students, who came to YG building before, saw him and approached him.

Girl 1: “Hey, Taeyang. It’s really you.”

Girl 2: “What are you doing here?”

Girl 3: “Looking for Ms. Kho?”
