Chapter 11: Fall Again

Hotel

Chun Gyeol pressed the door bell button. But no one opened it right away so she twisted the door knob and opened the door by herself and it did. She went in without permission. She looked for Jia and Youngbae right away and saw them in the bed. He lies on the bed, with his eyes closed, while Jia sits beside him wiping his face with a wet towel. Jia noticed her.

Chun Gyeol: “Ka.”

She told Jia.

Jia moved and kept the towel but Youngbae held her.

Youngbae: “Don’t leave.”

Chun Gyeol looked away and sighed before looking at them again.

Chun Gyeol: “Ka.”

She said in her most calm way.

Youngbae held tighter to Jia as she moves to go.

Jia: “Youngbae-ah, I need to go. Your wife’s here now. She’ll take care of you.”

Jia pulled her hand away and walked out of the suite. Chun Gyeol and Youngbae were left staring at each other sharply.

She sighed before picking up his things. She sat beside him.

Chun Gyeol: “Can you drive?”

Youngbae: “Just leave me alone.”

Chun Gyeol: “You want to drink coffee before we go? I’ll order one for you.”

She’s about to reach the hotel’s phone beside the bed when he blocked it with his hands.

Youngbae: “Didn’t you hear me? Ka.”

Chun Gyeol: “What’s your problem? Why are you doing this to me? Why are you treating me this way? You said you’ll eat dinner at home so we waited for you. I waited for you. Then I’ll find you in this hotel, with that girl. What do you want me to feel? Why are you always hurting me? I was trying my best to move on but you always do things that remind me how much I loved you. Why do I still love you this much?”

He didn’t know what to do with Chun Gyeol’s outburst but he’s happy to hear from her that she still loves him so he hugged her tight.

Youngbae: “Sorry. Stop crying. I won’t hurt you again.”

But she just cried louder.

Youngbae gave Chun Gyeol a glass of water while she sits at the bed and finally, has stopped crying.

Youngbae: “How do you feel now?”

She still frowns.

Chun Gyeol: “Hmp.”

Youngbae: “Tell me what you want me to do to make you feel better.”

Chun Gyeol: “Order food. I’m hungry.”

He laughed.

Chun Gyeol: “Why are you laughing?”

He held her hand.

Youngbae: “I’m just happy to know that you still love me.”

She reached for the menu list at the bedside table and gave it to him.
