How long has it been since Henry and I have talked? How long has it been since Bendy and I have been separated from the real world? And now here I am, with Henry. I felt like I could break down and cry. He had treated Boris, Bendy and I like real people. Then something happened, all together we were unable to see Henry. It was heart-wrenching. Still, it bought up the question to why, and to why he came back.
Now that I was standing in front of him I had my chance to ask, which had a blander answer than I had expected.
"I had received a letter that had been sighed by Joey Drew, I didn't expect to have been chased by a living pile of ink." Henry explained with a small quiver to his voice. He was spooked by all of this. My living hell, now touched by an outside force. Maybe now things will change for the better? Henry had handed the letter to me, instantly I knew who wrote it. My metaphorical blood was boiling.
"I can't believe him," I muttered to myself.
"Yeah, I figured it was 'The Dancing Demon' by now."
"Don't worry about him, Henry," I said reassuring him.
"He's both mad at me and anything right now."
"Why? The both of you were so close." Henry asked both curious and concerned.
"Yeah, 'were'. After Boris was slaughtered Bendy practically lost his mind." I said leaning against the wall with my arms crossed. I looked away from Henry before continuing. "He kept dripping away, became less himself and more like a demon." I chuckled a little out of my self-pity. "He tried to convince me that all that he has done was to keep me from ending up like Boris." By now I had taken my weight off the wall and walked to the center of the sound room in front of the chairs for the orchestra. I remained to have my arms crossed like I was holding onto myself.
"We started fighting, Henry, but I'm sure it was as much my fault as it was his. I guess I let all this get to the extent that it is now." I turned and faced Henry, but didn't look him in the eye. "Henry, is it bad of me to say that I still like him?" I finally broke my gaze off the floor and looked up to him waiting for an answer. It took Henry a bit of time to understand the extent of deterioration inside the studio, not only the physical look but the souls that were trapped in it. When he did, I continued to help him get out of the music department. We managed to turn the ink pump on to drain the stairs, but unfortunately for Henry, Sammy Lawrence rendered him unconscious and had snatched me. We should have known better than to just waltz right through that door. I should have known better. I saw what Sammy has been doing, praying to the Demon as if he was a God. He freaked me out, more than Bendy did. Now here we are, Henry tied up as a sacrifice and me, held hostage.
"Just loving this damsel in distress scenario," I said annoyed with my hands bound together and a rope around my neck like a collar. Sammy had a hold of the other end of the rope yanking me around with him.Henry finally came too. The bright light burned his eyes, which made him squint at first. Course he was startled to see Sammy in front of him and I bounded by him.
"Hi." I said trying to be sweet to Henry, considering I'm probably gonna die soon.
"It's quite nice of you to finally join us," Sammy said with a hint of creep in his voice. Henry looked up to him enraged.
"Let her go," Henry said.
"You're not in the position to negotiate." Sammy replied with a low rasp before continuing to say how Henry was going to be his ticket out of this hell.
"You're aren't the only one trapped in here, Lawrence." I said protesting and was rewarded with a yank on my collar. I was thrown down onto the floor and since my hands are bound I wasn't able to catch myself. He laughed at me and tied me up with Henry also as a sacrifice. Then headed left to a small room not far my where we were.
"He's so stupid I swear," I commented when Sammy was in the safety of the room. I had deformed my hands into balls of dripping ink, the rope that has bound my hands slipped through the ink the formed me. Afterward, I solidified the ink back into my hands, now free of my bonds. Then preceded to take off the rope around my neck and untie Henry, but before I was able to loosen the knot we both heard a low growl like chattering coming from the room that Sammy was in along. Soon after it filled with his screams of agony. Henry and I didn't want to stick around to be next, fortunately, Henry was strong enough to break the rope and book it down the hall with me shortly behind. First, figures of ink shot up trying to grab us, then derby was littering the hallway.
"Ya know something is telling me he doesn't want us to leave," Henry said chopping up some wooden boards.
"Whatever gave you that idea? Of course, he doesn't want us to leave!!" I replied sarcastically.Henry and I managed to have gotten through the cluttered hallway. Both of us tired and out of breath, we stopped to admire our surroundings.
"I never been here before, so don't ask for directions for the closet exit." I said with one hand on the wall for support. Henry started laughing at me, himself leaning against the wall as well as holding the handle of the ax tightly for support.
"Don't worry, I might know where we are actually," Henry said trying to be reassuring.
"Good to hear," I replied coughing a little, heading towards a pool of ink. "So, beyond that door would be what?" I looked towards Henry who was now standing by my side.
"I think the Editing Department, that or the Conference Room. Regardless, both are in the middle of the studio so an exit shouldn't be hard to find." Just then I got a sinking feeling after he finished.
"No, no we can't go this way." I said starting to back away from the dark liquid. One rogue ripple was sent through the entire pool, but Henry didn't see it.
"It's fine, (Y/n)." He took not even one step closer to the pool of ink and instantly fell back frightened. Bendy had revealed himself and was heading towards us.Bendy had pinned down Henry, but he was able to hold Bendy back with the ax handle. The fate of Henry was still eminent, the handle would eventually snap and allow Bendy to gain the upper hand. So, I did something incredibly stupid. I used my soft voice against him instead of any force. I had no guarantee that a soft song would prevent harm to Henry. But, it did. His attention was placed on me allowing Henry to crawl away unharmed. Bendy chattered like he was trying to speak, or even try to join my soft melody. Inky tears bit at my eyes and continued to roll down my cheek, leaving a black stain on my face.
'Why does this is so painful to watch? Why did I ever do this to her? She deserves so much more...' Bendy thought to himself, unable to speak. He felt a throb of compaction beat in his chest.I had hidden my face behind my hand, preventing both, Henry and Bendy from seeing me in a state of sorrow. I felt ashamed as did Bendy. Then I felt his lips pressed against my forehead in the shape of his uncanny smile. It felt really like it would years ago when we were happy. Course all good things have to come to an end, right?
Henry was confused by all the different signals Bendy was displaying. He took the close encounter as a sign of disarmament and had snatched me away, sprinting down a clear hallway. This triggered Bendy to follow now consumed by his original anger.
"Henry, stop!" I shouted slamming my fists onto his back, but my feminine stature and confused state rendered me weak and I had done no physical damage to Henry. Before we entered a doorway at the end of the hall after taking a sharp right. My bow came unclipped from my hair and landed in front of the other side of the threshold, out of my reach. Henry had locked the door and had pulled me away before I realized it was gone. But, it didn't go unnoticed. Bendy had picked it up admiring it as if he was admiring me. He placing it close to his heart as he used to with my hand.
"Are you alright?" Henry asked looking me over for any type of physical damage.
"Knock it off, it's only emotional." I said grabbing his hands stopping him. I needed to rest and figure out what had just happened only moments before. Everything was a blurry mess. Questions had started to pop into my head. Why did he kill Sammy Lawrence? Was he seriously trying to protect me? I knew he and Henry now had tension between them, but what bugged me was...Why did he react so well to my voice?
