After stuffing my face with a cheese omelets and a fruit salad I watched from back stage as Logan was interviewed by a lady with too much make-up on. He would glance at me once in a while when they showed pictures of him or clips from him movies. The lady asked him about what his new movie was about and who he was co-staring with.

But the most interesting question she asked was his relationship status

“So Logan we understand you have a woman in your life?” he smiled at the camera but I knew he was hurting inside.

“Um…yeah I do.” I was stunned. How could he just say he was still with her after what she has done?

“Is she the girl backstage?” she said in almost a whisper but enough so the audience could hear. They all went quiet waiting. I grasped my tea in my hand as I waited his answer. He looked at looked at me but his face was a little strange. Was he asking for help? Reassurance? I gave him a big smile and he chuckled. He then looked back at the interviewer when she cleared her throat clearly impatient.

I knew he was going to say no and go on about how perfect Lex was and probably talk a little about how she was in the hospital and he was worried. He looked back at me and I nodded for him to go on. He obviously didn’t feel comfortable with saying he was still dating when they were clearly going to be over later.

“Yes...” what? Did I mishear him? I knew my answer was answered when the audience awed and clapped. He looked at me and I felt my face flush.  I never blush…

“Well then… should we bring her out?” she was asking the crowd and they all went crazy clapping and cheering. Whoa wait what??

I felt hands on my back pushing me. I turned to see Lisa across the room with her mouth dropped open. I looked at her pleading for her to help me. I am incredibly shy and this would have been very embarrassing.

Logan came to my rescue though when he spoke up to the interviewer. “I’m sorry but I think she is a bit camera shy and really doesn’t like being the center of attention.” She nodded and laughed. It sounded like she was a witch.

“Okay, I understand. I mean we still have the pictures of you too in the magazine.” I sighed with relief when the hands on my back stopped pushing and Lisa was next to me holding my back. I felt like I was going to be sick, and she knew how I felt about my stage fright.

I looked out to Logan who was looked up at the screen above his head as they showed a slideshow of pictures. They were the pictures of us walking to the car form the hospital and also one shot outside my house. Great.

Then they showed a picture of me and him in the sandbox at the community playground. I smiled as I remember him throwing sand in my eye and he wouldn’t leave me alone the whole day to make sure I wasn’t mad. Even then he was such a nice guy, minus the whole throwing sand. But hey! We were 5.

The last picture was me and Logan standing outside the apartment on the front steps. I had to give props to the photographer. They caught us at the right moment where it looked like we were leaning in to kiss. I looked at the crowd who awed and clapped as the light came back on.
