It was 2:30 when the bell range signalling the end of the school day.
Maddy picked up her backpack and walked out of the door. She said bye to her possibly her new friend, but she doesn't think Kirie heard. Kirie seemed to be in her own mind.
Once Maddy walked out of the door, she looked around to see if anyone was looking at her, but everyone was busy with their own things. Once she saw this, she sped of to the near by high school track.
Once there she climbed the bleachers and sat all the way on the top. On the top she had the perfect view of the high school marching band. She stared in awe.
She always admired music weather it was playing or listening to it. But she always wanted to play an instrument. The alto saxophone was her favorite.
She looked at the band practice. She first heard them practice while in summer while she was taking a walk. Ever since then, she admired the marching band.
An hour past and the band were leaving to go home. Maddy got up and started to walk to the cave. She always cut through her school because it was faster.
The cool fall breeze brushed against her skin making her shiver a little, so she zipped up her jacket. She was in the school yard when she encountered Luke and his little gang of other 2nd graders.
"Oh look guys, it's the fun killer," Luke had said. Maddy rolled her eyes.
"What do you want Luke," Maddy had said in a bored tone.
"Oh I just want to give you something from being brave and saving that poor, pathetic girl," He mocked. "You should have let me have my fun, Maddy. I even offered you to join. What is it? You don't like hanging out with us no more? Are you still even our friend?"
"Luke you were bullying a innocent girl. And if you keep acting like a prat, then of course I won't be your friend. I don't like hanging out with prats like yourself."
Luke was getting angry. "Fine then if you're not our friend, that makes you our enemy." Luke's little gang all had smug looks on their faces.
"Then so be it, enemy." Maddy crossed her arms and stared at Luke. "But I'm sure you remember what we do to our enemies. Get her boys!"
His group grabbed Maddy's arms. She tried fighting back. Luke was about to punch her when she broke free. She punched Luke then tried to run but his friends tackled her.
They picked her up and held her arms tighter than before.
She kicked, trying to free herself again. " That was a good punch but mine will be better," Luke said and punched Maddy.
"LEAVE ME ALONE!," She yelled bark-like and surprisingly,  they let go and backed away. She was confused. Maddy thought she scared them because it sounded like a bark.  But their eyes were completely blank.
"What happened?," Luke asked. His eyes went back to normal, it was like he just got out of a trance. "Why'd we do that?" He asked another question. " I-I-I'm not sure." One of his friends replied. "Come on let's get out of here." And they ran off dazed and confused with what just happened.
Maddy stared out trying to figure out what just happened. She brushed it off and walked home, but she still had it on her mind.
Once she got to the cave and called out," Nana, I'm home." She always called her wolf mom Nana.
"Oh hello my child, how was school," the wolf called Nana asked. "Fine."
Maddy was still confused about what happened but she decided not to worry about and she didn't.
