my social studies teacher is honestly so pure
literally my friends think i have a problem but this man is my child and he needs to be protected at all costs which is why i have to fight my entire social studies class except for only a few people because they're so mean to him
today we started the southeast asian unit (so like china and india and stuff) and mr. leventhal was showing us the powerpoint with the notes
on the slide about chinese air pollution there was a picture of a city in china with lots of pollution in the air obviously and he goes "look at this stuff it isn't neat" and then proceeds to sing part of your world
keep in mind this man is scott's height
he's 6'3.75" and he was singing part of your world from the little mermaid
he then informs us that whenever he does karaoke, his go-to song is part of your world
honestly i don't know how anyone can be mean to him like half the grade hates him for some reason and i'm like how?? he's so pure???
today when we were walking to the buses to go home i was ranting to glamourousalmond about how pure mr. leventhal was and CelestialSilver_ was already on the bus and she told us when we got on that she was wondering who was so loud and then she was like "oh yep it's ansley ranting about something again" and i think that says a lot about what i talk about with my friends
back to social studies later in the powerpoint there was a picture of chinese kids fishing from one of the rivers with a huge pile of trash in the background and mr. leventhal points to the trash and goes "you're trash" and literally the entire class (except for my friends obviously) started yelling about how he was being racist and crap and i swear to god i am going to murder every one of them in their sleep
mr. leventhal is pretty young (he told us that he was in eighth grade in 2001 which makes him thirty) so obviously he wants to be cool and everything and he sometimes dabs and stuff and every time without fail after he does so he makes eye contact with me because he knows i'm going to be looking at him with disappointment
plus one time a kid asked how tall he was and i heard so i say "he's six three and three-quarters" and mr. leventhal smiles and laughs a bit and goes "yes i'm six three and three-quarters"
the only reason i know how tall he is is because one day i suspected that he'd be around scott's height so i asked him and he said his height i'm not a stalker
i don't know what i'm going to next year because obviously i'm going to be moving to the next grade level so i won't be around to protect mr. leventhal and what if he's hurt oh dear
tbh i wouldn't be surprised if he quit since my class was so horrible to him
the way most people feel shout their favorite celebrities or significant other is the way i feel about my favorite celebrities, girlfriend, friends, aNd my social studies teacher
okay i should probably stop ranting about the pure angel that is my social studies teacher considering this is the longest chapter yet
that's kind of sad
i'm sort of realizing that maybe i do have a problem
