After Jughead and Veronica left , Archie and Betty felt all weird. They felt jealous. They both didn't like the fact their best friends were dating the ex's . Stuff like this was a reason why they cherished moments like today.
"So are night is ruined, do you still want to go to the drive-in?", Archie asked.
"How bout next time,when Veronica isn't hear to ruin it", she said jokingly.
They got up , Archie payed for dinner, while Betty was waiting for him to finish. As they were in the car driving back home, not a word was said. Archie kept thinking about Veronica, and Betty thinking if being with Archie was just  a fantasy.
They pulled into Archies drive way. Before leaving the car they looked at each other. They could see in each other's eyes disappointment. Not at each other but how the date had ended. Archie left the car, he came over to Betty's side to open her door.
"Thanks , next time we should just chill?", she said with a smile on her face.
" Yeah, that's a great idea ", Archie said.
Archie leaned in to kiss her. This time it was as almost as great as the 1st time. They pulled away as they realized it was getting late.
Archie stood their as he saw Betty walking to her house. After he saw Betty get to house safe, he went home. As he entered the house , he was greeted by his dad.
"So how'd it go?", asked Fred.
"Great ", said Archie as he walked up the stairs.
Fred gave him smirk after hearing his reply .

Archie pov*
Entering my room I closed the door behind me.  I felt relieved to be back home. But what happened to tonight hit me. I don't know that Veronica would be this heartbroken. So heartbroken she would go back to her old habits. She started to drink. Though Veronica drank but only at parties. I found my self on my bed trying to sleep. But I couldn't. Jughead wasn't here, so I'm guessing he crashed at Ronnie's place. In bed still not sleeping, I thought to myself did I make the right choice?

Betty's pov*
As I got home , I saw my mother. As soon I entered she gave me a look. A look that said "I don't approve of you and Archie dating!" kind of look. I entered my room, my safe place. I texted Kevin to tell him about my date. Because I knew if I didn't he would have given me a lot of shit about it on Monday. I waited for him to text me back , but he never did. I think he's with Joaquin . I just needed to talk to someone about my date. The first person except Kevin to pop up was Veronica, but that was no longer a choice. I thought to myself , was Archie worth losing my closest friend. I wanted to text Archie but after tonight, maybe let things just die down.  That whole night I kept asking my self, why was I so jealous of Veronica and Jughead kissing?

Jugheads pov*
After Veronica kissed me I felt different but similar. I felt a little of the darkness leave me.
After pops we went to go meet up with Kevin and Joaquin at the drive-in. While driving there , I couldn't stop thinking about the kiss. Did I have feelings for her? As she was talking I just admired her. The way she giggles, the way she gets when she upset or doesn't get her way. I finally realized the beauty Archie had seen. Though to her it was some silly kiss to make Archie jealous. But to me it was something more.
"Veronica, what was that?" I asked her.
"What was what??"
"The kiss" , I implied.
"It can be whatever you want it to be" she said jokingly.
"Come on don't be like that, I'm not just some guy you can kiss to make other people jealous " I argued.
"Jughead you not just that guy , you're more than that", raven beauty said.
"Than what am I?", I asked.
She pulled over and stopped the car. She turned to me. It happened so fast, she pulled me in for a kiss. This time you could tell it was meaningful. I could breathe again. She was a fresh breathe of air. Though she became dark I could still she the light in her.
As she pulled away she said "You're the guy that understands me".
Me in shock of what just happened started to blush. She said those words as though she felt safe with me.
As she saw me start to blush ,Veronica said"Don't  get to full of yourself, we'll have to keep this on the down low for a while." she said with a smile on her face.
She started the car and started talking about something else. I forgot what she was saying, because I was just focused on her beauty, and what just occurred . Veronica lodge liked me ....Jughead.
