Emmett's POV

"We've been looking for hours! she can't have gone far!" I'm yelling at all my trackers, scolding my beta. There is no way in hell I'm losing Elena.

"We've looked all through out the forest Alpha, she's nowhere to be found."

"Look harder!" i yell before walking out the door, stopping just as my foot touches the porch to say, "I'm going for a run. and if there is no good news concerning Elena when i return, no one rests until  there is." I walk outside, jump off the porch and shift.

Running into the forest, blinded my rage, i run. No thought in my mind but run, just run. I end up at the end of the woods, reaching a river. I drink some of the water and lay down. What have i done? I lost the one person i was supposed to keep safe, to love, i lost my mate.

I stand up and turn to go back in the woods, until i smell it. Elena. I snap my head to my right just to be greeted by a white wolf with beautiful red eyes. She shifts back to her beautiful human self, revealing her scars and marks, her body, her beauty in general. 

She slips on some sorts and a hoodie. I cant take it anymore. I shift back and throw my clothes on, and run. But this time, all im thinking, is Elena. 

Elena's POV

It's been hours, i dont know what to do. All i can do is run, Collen's been hunting me for years, caught up with the idea that i belonged to him. I was created before him, but we had different creators.

*Flashback*

"Hello Elena."

"Who are you?"

"A friend."

"I have no friends, i'm alone."

"Not anymore, i'll never leave you alone."

"What if i want to be alone?"

"No one wants to be alone."

"No one is a monster like me." 

"We are not monsters." He reaches for my hand, i snatch it back. "Can i tell you something?"

"I suppose." He grabs my shoulder and squeezes, "You are mine, and always will be mine, make no mistake about it."

*Crack*

"AHHHHHH"

*End of Flashback*

My flashback ends and im at the river, i didn't realize i had been running. I shift back to my normal form and put on clothes. I miss him. Luna's been whining all day. "I know Luna, i know."

I turn to walk back to the house when something catches my eyes, this something, was a someone. 

"Elena?" Emmett is standing before me, his eyes red and puffy. Fuck, he's been crying. I turn to run out of sight and back home but he catches my wrist, instant fear washes over me as he spins me around  a lays a light kiss on my forehead.

"I'm so sorry, for everything."I push him off of me, as much as i would like to forgive him, i can't risk telling him about Collen, he got to close last time.
