"Hyun Eun?" My eyebrow raised as I repeated her words. This is weird, why does her name sounds so familiar?

"You don't belong to the mortal world, do you?" The words that I said got her taken aback.

Then she sighed, "I guess you can never be cut off from the other world."

I raised my brows at her, "You do know something about Choi Youngjae, don't you?"

"Of course I do."

I stepped forward and went closer to her, "Tell me everything that you know, please."

She kept quiet for a second before speaking again, "I'm not the one who's suppose to tell you everything." With that line being said, she disappeared right in front of my eyes. I looked around to find her, but the living room is empty.

Instead of feeling afraid, I'm actually felt curious. She knew something but didn't want to tell me about it. Besides, who exactly is this Hyun Eun?

Youngjae's POV

I put my bag down on the floor after I locked the door, and pulled out my phone from my pocket.

"Long time so see, Youngjae-ssi." I jumped a little when I heard a voice talking, and saw a girl standing behind me.

"W-Who are you? How did you get in?"

She took out a small box and put it on the table beside her.

"What is that?" I glared at her suspiciously, this girl might be a terrorist, you'll never know.

She chuckled at my expression, "All the memories that you had discarded. It's all inside this."

I gulped, "What are you talking about?"

"Why am I even telling you this?" She mumbled to herself and then looked up at me. "You will know it eventually."

I was confused about what she said and I frowned.

"Basically, this box stores all of your memories. Once you open the lid of this, all the memories that you've discarded will be back to you again. Oh, remember to only open it at the right time. My job is done, goodbye."

My eyes widened at the sight of her disappearing. My jaws dropped and I was shivering, "W-What did I just see?"

I checked on the box to ensure that I'm not seeing things, it's really there with my name written on it.

Is this some kind of prank or what? I was about to open the lid, until I remembered what she said.

"Basically, this box stores all of your memories. Once you open the lid of this, all the memories that you've discarded will be back to you again. Oh, remember to only open it at the right time."

What memories did I discard, and what's the right time she's referring to?

Hyun Eun's POV

"Hey," I looked up at my other colleague who's talking. "Did they freak out when they saw you?"

"Sung Hee was very calm. But Youngjae totally freaked out, it's funny how we used to work together when he is so afraid to see me now."

She chuckled, "Well, you can't blame him. He's not the guardian that we used to work with anymore."

Flashback >>

"So, what do you think I should do with you?" I stood at the side as I watched the head of guardians talking, with Youngjae standing in front of her.

He kept quiet, and I could tell that he's heartbroken right now. Well, it's hard to be apart from the person you love, even though I didn't see what happened earlier on with him and Sung Hee.

I've seen this a lot, guardians falling in love with someone from the mortal world. The punishment they had was to stay here forever and are not allowed to do anything, not even seeing how their love ones are doing in the mortals world. This sounds nothing, but it's definitely hard for them to do so, especially when they remember all the memories they had with them.

I've worked with Youngjae for a few months, and I'm feeling sad to see this happening. What can I do for him?

My notebook suddenly dropped down from my hands and caused a loud thud. I looked up and smiled sheepishly, "Sorry,"

I bent down to pick up the book from the floor. The book was opened to the page where there's Youngjae and Sung Hee's information.

I know I'm in the cupid section, but this is a special case, so I had their information with me. I sighed softly, it's probably time to delete their information.

Suddenly, something caught my eyes.

Name: Choi Youngjae
Date of birth: 17 September 1996
Cause of death and Year: Car accident, 2016
* Chances used up for requests: 1/2
** Currently a Guardian of: Min Sung Hee

I gaped at the information as something came to my mind.

"Head," I spoke up which made everyone's eyes on me. "Look at this." I handed her my notebook and she looked up at Youngjae after reading.

"Well, you're lucky enough to escape from the punishment."

He raised his brows at her, "What?"

To briefly explain, he only used up one of the request that he's able to made before he became a guardian, and that one chance left saved him.

"Since you love Sung Hee so much, I will give you a chance to meet her as a human. It all depends on you if the both of you can fall in love again."

<< End of Flashback

"I hope he doesn't mess up with the chance that I got for him."

Sung Hee's POV

"Hyun Eun.." I mumbled myself as I was trying to figure out who she is, until I heard someone ringing on the doorbell.

"Sung Hee!" Youngjae panted heavily when I opened the door. "You sure know something about this, right?"

I was confused at the sight of him holding a small box in his hands as he hand it to me.

"The memories that I've lost, you surely do know something about it."

I looked at him with a blank face, "What memories?"

"Please open the lid of this box."
