Once upon a time, in a little house right in your neighborhood lived a girl who was nothing but a dreamer.
Most people didn’t notice her for her true self so she created a façade that she was well known for.
In reality she was a shy, insecure girl who had no idea why she was in this cruel world, but on the outside she pretended to be outgoing, and crazy.
The kind of girl who could get the one she wanted.
Only thing is that the guy she wanted knew her for her. She never pretended around him, and everything she did with/for him was real; meaningful even.
They knew one another for only a few months but she knew she had a new best friends.
He knew her darkest secrets, and she trusted him fully. She was blinded by the happiness she felt around him.
Happiness just brings you down, for all good things must come to an end.
That was until the new semester started. Now she was more alone than ever before. He now had new friends by his side, and she never wanted to “take” him away from them, so she was lost.
Yeah, she had more friends but none had beat down that many barriers in such a short time like he had.
Her memory tended to fail for school subjects but when it involved something she was passionate about she absorbed the information up and she could never forget.
She was the type of girl who’d stay up late at night just lost in thought about what she could have done. All the “ifs” over took her mind day and night.
She’s just a teenager; she couldn’t know of love but what if this was it. All the pureness and hope she was filled with, over a guy.
In fact, she knows now she wasn’t in love with him. It was just a crush, but she misses her best friend.
She has her best girl friend and her best guy friend. Both of them have left her though.
She needs to have better judgment.
They were smart. They left before she could leave them. Why didn’t she think like that? Why did she have hope that it would stay that way?
Of course, she’s nothing but a dreamer.
That thought disgusted her so much it was unbearable that a guy could have so much control over her, not only over her, but over her mind…and…her heart.
Now it seems it is too late, that she has frozen her feelings, frozen her feelings in general. She didn’t, and doesn’t want to feel anymore.
So, she just fakes the smile and the laugh she’s known for.
Now, her reality is gone, and she feels numb.
What’s next?
Maybe next time she’s happy, it’ll stay that way.
