Oh great, Present Mic.. before he could introduce himself I asked, "Is Aizawa in today?"
"Well, hello to you too, caller! Of course he's in! What can I help you with today?"
"I need to talk to him."
"Oh, that's too bad! Aizawa is in a class! Thanks for calling in, and better luck next ti--"
"Can you bring me inside? I don't care how long I have to wait."
"No can do--"
"I need to talk to him."
"Should I call security now or are you going to leave?"
"No!" I pulled off my mask without thinking and he froze in place. " Oh, god why did I do that... I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I need to talk to him." I took his access card and walkie so he couldn't report me. "I'm really sorry." I backed through the gate, keeping my eyes on him until it crashed close, then I pulled my mask back down.
I made it into the main building but realized I didn't have a plan to find him, I didn't have a plan at all. Why the hell did I do that?
I stopped and listened for the voices behind each door. Since I didn't often use my eyes, I'd learned to rely on my other senses. But all my hearing told me was that All Might was at the far end of the building and still he drowned out every other voice.
I walked closer to the doors, and tried to ignore All Might. Dammit where are you Aizawa?
"Who are you? How did you get in here?"
Shit, guess I blocked out more than All Might.. I turned around slowly. "I'm only here to talk to Aizawa. My name is Leah, I graduated from Cedar Academy. Where is Aizawa?"
"You're coming with me to the principal's office."
"No, no, no you don't understand-" I heard the static from his walkie and tore my mask off. I walked over and removed his finger from the button on his radio. "I'm sorry, I just need to know if he can help me."
I walked backwards again, keeping my eyes on him. Without my blindfold I notice plaques beside each door. The flourescent lights hurt my eyes, and the signs were blurry in my peripheral vision, but I could make out basic shapes of letters and found what I hopped was Aizawa's classroom.
I burst into the room, pulling my mask down as I did. The room was quiet, but I heard the uneven breaths from the students I'd startled.
"Aizawa, I need to know how your quirk acted when it first manifested. Were you always able to control when you use it?"
Silence.
"Please, they'll make me leave any minute. Just tell me."
"Who are you?"
"Ah!" I hit the wall with the side of my fist. "It doesn't matter! Every second I open my eyes, everyone in my sight is frozen in place. How do I turn it off?" Someone moved near me, a footstep gave them away. I held my hand in front of them, "Don't."
I turned back to Aizawa. "Please. Tell me how to control it. I need to know. I've tried my whole life to get control over this. I didn't make it into this school. I put all my efforts into my academy. Nothing has worked. Tell me how you do it."
"I have a class to teach."
A sounds escaped me as my heart fell to my stomach. "You don't under--" I was distracted and missed the guard who was now behind me taking hold of my arm. "No!" I wrestled one hand free and yanked off my mask again. The class froze and I pulled the guard in front of me so he couldn't move either.
"Then take my quirk, Eraserhead. I haven't watched a living thing move in 14 years. Take. It. Please."
His eyes were open when I froze him and now they focused on me. His hair raged like a fire but otherwise he was still. The class moved again most stood to take defensive stances, and the guard stood from where I'd thrown him.
My breathing was shaky as I took in the scene. I scrambled to retie my mask before they could see the tears forming in my eyes.
"See what the principal wants to do with her. I'll meet with him after class."
Without further commotion I left with the guard.
