'isn't she beautiful?' says adira holding their beautiful baby girl.

'she gets it from her mother.' says sergio smiling.

'hey baby girl, it's mummy here. you are honestly the most beautiful thing i've ever seen.' says adira quietly rocking her daughter slightly in her arms, 'i'm going to past you to your daddy now. i love you so much.' she says kissing her small hand before carefully passing her to sergio.

sergio carefully holds his newly born daughter in his arms, a smile plastered to his face as he looks down at the human being he help create.

'hello mi amor, you're so tiny wow.' he says slightly in shock, 'if you told me and your madre when we first met we were going to have a baby together, we would have both looked at each other as if that person is crazy. but it's strange how two people fall for each other. you'll find out one day, when you fall in love with that special someone and i can guarentee you i'll be that over protective, embarassing dad.' he says laughing slightly walking around the room.

'nurse!' says adira suddenly. sergio and the nurses quickly rush to adira's side who's sheets are now stained red.

'she's having a postpartum hemorrhage.' says the doctor.

'get him and the baby out of here.' he says as he puts his gloves on quickly, a nurse takes juliana off sergio and another takes sergio out the room.

'sir you really need to leave!' says the nurse.

'is she going to be okay?' he quickly asks, the two nurses look at each other.

'if we get her treated her in time, she should be fine.' she says before she leads sergio out the door and shuts the door in his face.

'she's bleeding too much, we need to get her into the operating room now!' says the doctor. the nurses open the door, pushing adira's bed, who is currently crying her eyes out, into the operating room.

'adira!' says sergio following them until the door says no access.

'fuck.' he says running his hands through his hair and frantically walking up and down.

adira is starting to lose unconsciousness as she drastically loses blood and her blood pressure goes down.

'keep her conscious! don't let her go!' says the doctor as one of the nurse injects her.

'she needs a hysterectomy doctor.' says the nurse.

'people we have to get it right, we can't just let a newly born baby without a mother. we can do this if we get everything right.' says the doctor quickly looking at his team.

'we can do this.' he says sighing as he opens her.

it's been five hours and sergio hasn't heard a word from anyone about adira's state of health. he told cristiano and alvaro to go home. he hasn't been able to sit still, he hasn't eaten in over thirty six hours, he's currenly living on energy drinks from the vending machines.

the door finally opens, making sergio's head look in his direction. by the looks of the doctor and nurse's face, it can't be good news.

'mr ramos? i'm afraid we have some bad news.' says the doctor.

'adira suffered from a postpartum hemorrghage which is intensive bleeding caused by severe blood clots. this is not a rare thing, it is treatable. but adira's case was extremely different. we managed to stop the bleeding but something else was wrong. she wasn't staying conscious, as we were trying to keep her conscious, her heart just stopped. we tried to get it going as many times as possible but it wouldn't start. i'm so sorry , we did everything we could.'

sergio just stares at the doctor before dropping to his knees, putting his face and starts to sob.

'we're so sorry, do you know if she's had any medical problems in th-' asks the nurse but the doctor shushes.

'i think what mr ramos needs now is some time to take this news in, we should give him some time. would you like us to call a friend or family member?'

'i-i want to see my daughter.' he manages to say. the nurse nods and he follows into the maternity ward seeing all the different babies in cots. the nurse carefully passes juliana to sergio as he holds her carefully, using his sleeve to get rid of his tears.

'i'm so sorry juliana, this is all my fault.' he says choking up a little.

'sir, it's not your fault. you didn't know this was going to happen.' says the nurse putting her hand on his shoulder.

'i'm going to give you the best damn life i can.' he says quietly as a tear falls down his cheek and lands on her blanket.

sergio just stops and looks at juliana. all the sudden memories of him and adira coming rushing back. instead of shedding a tear, he smiles.

and that was the story of adira and sergio, thank you for reading.
