Hera's P.O.V

I sat watching the stars pass as I cleared my head. I am glad to get that weight off my chest and spoken with Ezra about how we-I feel about him. Right now, I'm clearing my head to steady it by watching the light show. I glanced down at my stomach to see a bit of a bump starting to form. I sighed, why did it have to be me?

I wonder if that's what happened to other Twi'leks in that horrible place that Ezra only ever knew as a home. I wouldn't call it a home though, more like jail that you're forced to live in since you were born. Anyways, it's a miracle that he lived as long as he had for someone his age in that place. He was strong and yet didn't show it often. Does he know that he is? That not any teen could survive a slave camp.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the door open. At first, I thought it was Kanan and was going to tell him to go back to bed but I looked over to see Ezra instead. He had his arms wrapped around himself and head bowed. I was a bit surprised to see him to be honest. "Ezra..." I said softly and he looked up. My heart dropped to my stomach when I saw his puffy red eyes and tear tracks staining his face.

I gestured to the co-pilots seat to join me for star gazing at the speed of light. He sat down and we both watched out side the window of hyperspace in silence. It felt nice just sitting here soaking in each other's presence without any words needing to be said. After a while, I began to talk with Ezra.

Ezra's P.O.V

"My mother used to say that all those stars up there are like little windows to help let our loved ones that passed to see through the dark and look down at us to watch and keep us safe from harm," Hera said, "And when you're in space, then it feels like you're even closer to them than before." I looked over at Hera with amazement.

"That's one of my reasons why I love flying so much. Just to feel and be closer to her," she concluded and looked over at me with a smile. I returned the smile but it was more of a grimace, it was the best I could muster. She turned back to the controls and exited out of hyperspace. I turned as the image of stars passing changed into a planet.

I'm home, Lothal, I'm home. Hera landed us on the planet near Tarkin town and let the slaves look around at their new home. I smiled knowing that they would be fine and safe here in Tarkin town away from the horrible camps. All thanks to the crew and.....my parents for risking their lives to save them. Zeb and Sabine came out and were helping the slaves in their new foreign home.

I felt a hand lay on my shoulder and looked over to see Hera. "Do you want to go see how Kanan's doing?" She asked. I nodded and we headed towards the med-bay. We entered the room and I saw Kanan sitting on his legs with his eyes closed. "Hello," he said and opened his eyes to look at the both of us.

Kanan looked over at me with sadness in his eyes. "I'm sorry about what happened to your parents," he said. I looked at the floor sadly cause he thinks that it was his fault that my parents died. I don't blame him at all, my parents did it to protect us from the evil people. Kanan even was an amazing help to sacrificing himself to save us.

"I'm sorry I couldn't protect them," Kanan ranted on, "I just hope you can forgive me." I looked back up to see Kanan bowing his head in shame cause he knew how much I wanted to see and be with my parents again. I don't want him blaming himself for what he did, he tried his best and I'm great full for that. I just needed to show him that I was so I walked over to him and unraveled my arms from around me. I stood next to the bed he was supposedly resting in.

He didn't move to look at me or do anything. I didn't notice the burning sensation in my eyes until just now. Yet, I still wrapped my arms around the man and cried softly. I think I surprised him but he regained his composure when I felt his arms wrap around me.

Hera's P.O.V

I smiled as Ezra wrapped his arms around Kanan to tell him that he was forgiven. Kanan was a bit shocked but smiled and returned the hug. I could see Ezra shake and I guessed that he was crying. I walked over to the two and stood next to Ezra. I rubbed circles around his back and notice that he tensed then relaxed.

Ezra soon calmed down and sniffed some with some unsteady breathing. Either way, he was calming down and soon his sniffles were gone and his breathing steadied. "I think he's sleeping," Kanan whispered to me. I moved some of Ezra's bangs to see that Kanan was right. I smiled warmly and helped Kanan get him on the bed. Kanan seemed to be having trouble getting out of Ezra's embrace.

"Need help dear?" I asked and he shook his head no. "I don't want to wake him up," Kanan said, "Besides, he looks comfortable." I looked over at Ezra to see his arms wrapped around Kanan and head laying on his shoulder. I nodded and out of the med-bay to go do something.

When I came back to the med-bay about an hour later. I opened the door to check on the two boys. I smiled when I saw the two sleeping peacefully on the bed. Both of them looked so worn out, they deserved as much rest as they can get. So without any words need to be spoken, I shut the door and walked towards the cockpit with a smile still on my face.
