Chapter 30 Time to bid adieu!

Somewhere between life and death

"Where am I?" Jack looked around but could only see white mist surrounding him.

"Jack is that you?" Bess called out on hearing Jack's voice..

"Bess? Where are you?" Jack walked to Bess' voice, he was blinded by the dense fog...

"Where are you Jack,  I can't see you!" Bess yelled and walked while fanning away the fog by her hands but it was of no use. Suddenly, she bumped into something and fell flat on her bum.

"Are you blind?" She snapped..

"Bess, its me, Jack!"

Bess put strain on her eyes to recognize the person standing in front of her...

"Jack!" She got up and hugged Jack tightly that's when she realized that Jack was in his body...

"You have changed, Jack!" she exclaimed making Jack look at himself too...

"Oh god! I'm changed!" Jack cried out in joy...

"But where are we?" Bess asked while looking around at the unfamiliar place...

"Are you two really that stupid?" Someone snapped out of nowhere making Jack and Bess look around...

Suddenly, Magnus walked out of the dense fog...

"What are you doing here, you were shot and died, right there!" Bess pointed out, earning a laughter from Magnus...

"Really?  and as far as I remember I shot you and you were dead too and you Jack,  thanks to that dumb girl's perfect aim, you got shot too. So basically, we three, are dead!" Magnus snapped making Bess and Ditto look at each other with panic...

"So, I'm dead?" Jack asked with a panic struck face, while Bess, herself was 'panicked' written on her face.

"I'll kill Ditto!" Jack yelled in frustration.

"And I'll kill you, you maniac, you shot me!" Bess yelled at Magnus.

"You can't kill me, I'm already dead and you're dead by your own choice, I was aiming at that dumb girl, it was you that jumped in front of her!" Magnus snapped back...

"I died without any reason!" Jack cried to himself making Bess and Magnus look at her with confusion. Bess held his shoulder, passing on her condolences on his unwanted death.

"I would kill Ditto!" He snapped...

"Really? Would you?" Magnus snapped, making Jack go silent,"You would never killed her because you loved her and deep down under you're glad that she's fine!"

Jack just averted to avoid the truth from spilling.

"It's funny, Oh! Holy Macaroni!  I'm gonna die of laughter!"  The Voodoo lady got out of the fog.

"You!!" Jack pointed his finger at her

"Easy boy! You don't want me to turn you into a pig, do you?" Lady warned Jack, making him pull back his finger in scare.

"Listen! You people left me no choice. I have switched more than hundred people, but sadly first time someone succeeded to lift the curse.

Yes, you love her and she loves you and thus I'm taking back my curse!"

"But we are dead now!" Jack cried out...

"A small bullet went touching your temple and you're dead? Some tough guy you are, eh?" She mocked him. On which Jack just scratched his neck in embarrassment.

"So, I get to go back?" Jack asked confused.

"Yes, you do!" voodoo lady rolled eyes...

"And what about me?" Magnus asked..

"Ditto shot three bullets aiming at you, do you think you would escape that? Besides that you deserved to die!" Voodoo lady asked jokingly. Magnus just rolled eyes.

"So I guess, its time to bid adieu! Tell Ditto, I'll miss her!" Bess said smiling faintly at Jack...

"Or you can say that yourself!" Voodoo lady said making Bess raise eyebrows at her...

"Yes. Bullet didn't hit you! It just passed by you!"

"So, you mean..." Before Bess could complete, she was back in her body, breathing heavy and coughing blood...

Ditto instantly panicked on seeing Bess still alive. She rushed and hugged Bess tightly...

"Bess!" Tears escaped her eyes but her eyes swelled when Bess slapped her hard...

"Call an ambulance, you idiot!" she somehow managed to speak...

Couple of hours later

"I'm sorry, I didn't shoot you intentionally!" Ditto felt bad for Jack,  who was sitting on the sofa with bandaged head, doctor had to shave off one side of his long brunette locks, to stitch the wound, bullet made.

"Wow!  I could have been dead because of you!" Jack snapped back...

"But you're not!" Ditto yelled back...

"You two, die, you bastards!" Bess spoke faintly while laying on the hospital bed,"I wish, I could just knock you two dead!"

Both Jack and Ditto looked at each other, embarrassed.

"That's why I hate you!" Jack mumbled...

"Jack, do you really hate her? Might be the right time to end all this!" Bess said with a low voice making Jack roll his eyes...

"He hates me, yes, he hates me. I killed Madison and shot him and this is what I deserve... " Before Ditto could complete Jack crashed his lips on Ditto's, to shut her up. It was unexpected for Ditto but she synced with the rhythm.

While, Bess laid in the middle closing her eyes,  smiling. Suddenly, Both Jack and Ditto felt a jolt in their bodies and with that,  they were back in their bodies.

They paused, but again attacked each other's lips.

"I tasted better!" Jack joked between kiss without realizing that they were standing either side of Bess' bed.

"Enough!" Bess yelled making them chuckle

and lean down to kiss her but she pushed them away, saying,"I'll rip you two, if you even thought of it!"

And The end!

This was it, friends.  Thanks for being with me in my shitty chapters as well. You all were great. I didn't realize that so many people were reading it.
