Louis' hand tightened round the steering wheel when Harry whimpered in the back seat. He was curled into a ball, he being surprising small enough to fit like that on the seat without so much as his knees or anything over the edge.

Josh was knocked out in the seat beside him, his head leaning against the window and was breathing softly while Harry on the other hand had his hands tangled in his curls, his muscles clenched and a low rumble of growls of pain come from the centre of his chest.

He couldn't help but feel guilty and sad for the boy. This must have a been a huge change for him. He had been a pure bred his whole life, a Cornea Lupus, and now he was turned into a vampire and his werewolf side was just... gone. Poof.

Harry would no longer have to go through the change on a full moon because he was too young to refuse it. He would never feel the growth of his nails, his hair and ears. He would no longer be able to expand his hearing, sight, strength and speed on command but it would all just be there at once and he could no longer get rid of it if he grew tired of it.

He was no longer a wolf but an entirely different creature all together. Because of him and Josh. Because Josh was such an asshole and Louis couldn't allow the guilt to eat him up inside for allowing his friend to kill a young wolf just for walking through vampire territory when he clearly didn't live there.

It wasn't even their territory to begin with. It was some other vampires', but because the territory belong to a vampire, most of the creatures thought it was okay to enforce the rules because it was owned by one of their kind and the wolves that lived there were far too poor and scared to gather their things and move somewhere safer and better than there.

Harry rolled onto his back and looked up at the ceiling of the car, blinking rapidly when his vision began to clear and blur. Every few seconds, he was able to see every fibre of the cloth on the roof and then the next he could only see the simple grey fuzz it gave it.

He covered his ears when Louis switched gears in the car and the sound of a loud banging and scraping caused his ears to ring. But he had never heard it until now and he looked over at Louis and Josh and frowned when they hadn't seemed to be bothered or concerned about it.

"Your hearing's been enhanced," Louis said quickly, "you can hear just about everything clearly for about a kilometre round you. It's like your wolf hearing... except you can't get rid of it. You can tune it out, sure, but it'll always be there when you add too much focus to it. Think about other things rather than the sounds round you, it'll help. A lot."

"How can I tune it out when everything's so God damned loud?" Harry croaked, throwing his arm over his face and the crook of his elbow covered his eyes. "My mouth hurts and my head is pounding. My limbs ache and I'm sweating. This is gross. I don't sweat! Not even during sex! Ugh, I want to sleep but I can't."

Louis sighed in response to him, nodding in understanding and turned on the radio, "just focus on the music, kid, it'll help. Don't think about the tyres rolling over the tarmac or the sounds of the gears shifting or the static in the radio. Tune out Josh's annoying thoughts and breathing. Just... listen to the music, allow it to sink in."

"He woke up from dreaming

And put on his shoes

Started making his way past two in the morning

He hasn't been sobre for days

"Leaning now, into the breeze

Remembering Sunday he falls to his knees

They had breakfast together,

But two eggs don't last like the feeling of what he needs

"Now this place seems familiar to him
