Chapter 14

The closer the car approached the village, the more nervous Harry began to get and shake. Louis was comfortably holding his hands and rubbing tiny circles onto the back of his hand. Harry was bouncing his leg up and down, occasionally switching from right to left leg and gnawed on his bottom lip. He could feel his heart pounding against his rib cage and he was fairly certain the rest of them could hear his rapid beating heart as well.

"Jesus Christ," Josh spat, "first, you shut us all out because you're scared, you get horny on the plane and have Louis suck you off and now your heart won't fucking shut up? Get your shit together, Harry."

"Louis didn't suck me off!" Harry snapped, not looking away from the window, watching the green fields, trees and houses pass by. Louis didn't say anything, not wanting to make Josh talk more than he already had. Louis could feel the fear radiating off of Harry and he knew the fear would most likely cause him to attack Josh if he were pushed.

Louis used his free hand to reach up and gently squeeze Harry's bicep in a reassuring manner and the younger vampire seemed to relax just a little bit at the touch but the tenseness was still present.

Harry made a squeak and pulled his knees to his chest as the familiar pack house pulled into view and got bigger as the car approached it slowly. There were two women waiting outside, big smiles on their faces and waving enthusiastically at the car as it got closer. Harry thought his heart was going to burst through his chest and he could feel a thin layer of sweat break out on his face.

"You've gone pale," Louis muttered as the car stopped a metre in front of the women and Harry shakily reached over and unbuckled his seatbelt. Louis watched as he took deep breaths and gently pulled his hand out of his and opened the door.

He stepped out and stood to his full height and the older woman gasped, running up to him and engulfed him in a hug, his height towering over her.

"You've gotten so big!" she gushed and pulled away, covering her cheeks as her light brown eyes sparkled with excitement. "You're all grown up! Oh, my god!" At the sound of her voice, Harry seemed to relax just a little bit and he forced out a smile, hoping it looked real. He smiled lopsidedly, only showing off one of his dimples and leant down a bit to give the woman a proper hug.

"Hey, Mum," he relaxed a lot more when he initiated the hug and the woman hugged him back. "Gemma, get over here." He gestured towards the other woman who grinned as well and walked over to him, walking into the arm that was outstretched and allowed him to pull her close to his body as he hugged both his mum and older sister. Louis smiled slightly at the sight, loving the love that radiated off of them, appreciating for once the strong emotions werewolves emitted.

"Are these your friends?" his mum asked, pulling away from after a couple of minutes and so did Gemma, turning as every one who had once been inside of it stepped out and they all waved awkwardly... all except Josh who just stared and tried to fight off a glare at the two wolves.

"Yeah..." Harry said, trailing on and looking between Louis and Josh. He gave brief introductions on the five and they all shook Harry's mum and sister's hands and gave pleasant greetings except for Josh who just grunted and gave a curt nod. His mother frowned at the bitter vampire and made a sturgeon face when she turned away from him.

"Why don't you all come inside and meet the rest of the pack?" his mum said, beckoning them all into the house and the followed without a second thought or protest. Walking in through the front door in a queue, waving awkwardly as they past by a couple of wolves in the living room playing video games.

There weren't many people, only fifteen people or so, it was a relatively small pack but strong enough to defend it if need be. But then there were the pack elders, the older wolves who no longer changed on the full moons, no longer protected the pack but the pack protected them.
