Chapter 10

Louis watched Harry closely, waiting for his reaction. He had expected the younger lad to freak out and lose his shit, but he was met with a face full of confusion and annoyance. Every muscle in his body relaxed at the sight of his reaction, he had expected to be yelled at and a total break down from the younger vampire, but he was glad he was calm and confused. But at the same time, he felt a bit bad that he was so clueless on something that revolved around him, that was about him. 

"What... what does that mean?" Harry asked slowly, looking from both Louis and Liam. His eyebrows were furrowed and mouth drawn in a tight, thin line. He didn't like being confused as much as Zayn did and the worst part was no one was explaining to him what he was. 

"Well..." Louis hesitated, trailling on and refusing to make eye contact with the younger vampire. His heart went out to him, it really did. And not just because he was his blood mate, but because he was now in so much danger, Louis could never imagine what it would be like to be in such a danger that it threatened the poor boy's life. 

"Um..." Liam spoke up, "well... you see, Harry, you're infinite. Meaning... your powers, your abilities, are limitless. You possess every vampire ability there is, if not more. You're powerful, Harry. You're dangerous. And people are going to be so terrified if they find out. So terrified that they'll take an attempt on your life more than likely, and if you're lucky, only if, you'll be taken to a camp where you'll never see beyond the gates ever again. Even then, you're not even safe." 

"Harry, there is nothing you can't do with your vampire abilites, you're gifts, if you will. You have an infinite amount of power, love. Vampire are like humans in this aspect, they fear what they don't understand about their own kind rather than others. If you're found out by any prejudiced vampire, they'll report you and you'll no doubt have a price on your head. Harry, you'll have to be extra careful," Louis said, glancing over at Liam with panicked eyes the more he thought about Harry being foud out and being taken away from him. 

"Oh," Harry's voice was light with a hint of his own panic. He hadn't quite expected this. He didn't want to be killed or taken away, especially if it meant he'd be taken away from Louis, he had already began to feel butterflies in the pit of his stomach when ever the older vampire flashed him one of his very handsome grins. He especailly loved the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled and was happy. 

"I knew this mutt would cause us trouble," Josh spoke up from the doorway with a bored expression. He was leant against the frame with his arms crossed over his chest and an eyebrow raised lazily. "What if I was just that someone to report him? Get him off all of our hands. Even your's, Louis." 

It had only taken a blink of an eye for Louis to be across the room and at Josh's throat. He was squeezing tightly at the threat the imbecile made all because he had felt threatened himself by someone who didn't pose any threat. 

"Don't you fucking dare!" Louis growled, his voice vicious and his fangs  bared. "Harry is not burden, you're just upset that there's finally someone who's naturally stronger than you, rather than consuming an extra amount of blood than normal." 

Josh roughly shoved Louis back and the older vampire stumbled back just a bit, eyeing Josh warily as he shook with anger, "You're right, Louis. I am upset, I'm jealous, because I was born a vampire and he was just a bitten pure blood wolf who just get his abilities easily rather than aging into them like the bloody rest of us! It's not fair!" 

"Life's not fair, Josh," Liam's voice was calm and gentle as he looked over at the jealous vampire. "Josh, if you report Harry, you'll report me. I'm infinite as well, why aren't you angry at me for not aging into my abilities?"
