Monday, 7:30am

First day.

I wore my uniform and sighed as I stared at myself in the mirror.
I tied my hair into a loose ponytail,
pulling some strands out.
I grabbed my bag and carried it on one shoulder.

I locked the door to my house.
I put on my earphones and played music.
The floor vibrated with the bass notes as I walked down the lonely quiet street.

Reached hell.

The whole building sends a chill down my spine and reminds me of something out of my nightmares.

I kept my head down and pushed my way through the sea of despondent faces.

Into the classroom,
the room I dreaded the most.
I sat down beside the window.
I looked outside, the view was pretty.

It was mountains and nature.
The wind caressed my face as I closed my eyes.

Rapping of pencils against the tables.
Chair legs screeching against the floor.

I opened my eyes.

The ceaseless buzzing of the classroom.
Everyone seemed happy to be back.

Except me.
