"Hyeri?!"

I turned around.

"Taemin?!"

I was shocked.
Wait,
why should I be shocked.
I should've expected him to be here.

"What are you doing here?"

He asked.
He must've thought I had some secret talent and finally decided to show it to the world, but no.

"Oh, I came here with Jennie. She's the one auditioning, not me."

I said awkwardly,
probably bursting his bubble.

"Oh so you're Hyeri? I've heard a lot about you. I'm Jonghyun by the way."

A guy next to Taemin smiled as he held out his hand.
I shook it and smiled back.
Wait,
"I've heard a lot about you" ?
What does that mean.

"Hello, you're in year 3 right? I've seen you around."

"Yup, nice to meet you!"

The four of us talked for a bit.
It was kinda awkward as first,
but we slowly loosened up.

"Hello everyone. Welcome to S.M Entertainment Audition 2017. Do take note of the following things, please switch off all handphones..."

It has begun.
The room started getting filled with more and more eager teens.
Majority were girls,
rumour says that the next group S.M will debut is gonna be a girl group.
It's not confirmed though.

"When you go into the audition room, please introduce yourself and look at the camera, not the judges. You are required to either sing, rap or dance. If you choose to sing or rap, the judges might ask you to do a freestyle dance."

Jennie and Taemin has no problem in freestyle dancing, so they were safe.
I'm not sure about Jonghyun though,
never knew he could sing or dance.

Time passed.
We waiting for a very long time,
We eventually got pretty restless.
S.M groups music videos were playing on the big screen in front of us,
some were singing along and dancing along.

Queue numbers 41-50, please proceed to room 13."

Finally.
Jennie and Jonghyun stood up.
Taemin's number was 51 so he was in the next batch.

"All the best guys! Fighting~"

Taemin and I gave them a thumbs up.
They smiled and whispered fighting back at us before heading into the room.

Taemin and I was left together.
I turned around and faced him.

"So.. Are you nervous?"

"Yea of course I am."

"I didn't know the whole idol would be something you want."

"At first I didn't know either, I really liked to sing and dance since I was little so.. Why not give this a shot?"

He looked at me.
His eyes filled with confidence and determination.
I was happy for him,
at least he knows what he wants to do.

"That's good. I'm happy for you! Remember me when you're famous."

I winked.

"Yah, I might not even pass this first round. There's so many better singers and dancers, Jennie and Jonghyun hyung for example."

He started to doubt himself.
The first day of school Taemin was coming back.

"Yah, stop doubting yourself. You're an amazing dancer, even our whole school knows that!! You just have to be confident, don't let others bring you down. People are rooting for you! Like me! Do your best and make me proud okay?"

I said as he looked at the ground.
Why was he suddenly so discouraged.
I preferred the confident, filled with determination Taemin.

"Queue numbers 51-60 please head to room 14."

He looked up at me.
I smiled.

"You can do it, I believe in you."
