Thursday, 11:03am

I chewed on my rice cakes.

"So did you see the new music video? They look so hot..."

Naeun squealed.
There she goes again.
Fangirling over her kpop idols.
I liked kpop.
Not as much as her though.

"Yah, are you listening?"

She caught me not paying attention.
I lied and nodded.
Bitting my straw.

"Oh my god, look!!"

A bunch of girls started running towards the window of the cafeteria.
Pointing down at the basketball court.
Some ran out of the cafeteria.
What on earth is happening.

Curious,
Naeun and I walked towards the windows.
There was a bunch of students in a big circle.
There were 2 speakers in the circle.
This scene looks familiar.

Dance battle.

It was common to see dance battles in my school.
It doesn't happen often,
but it does.

"Hey isn't that Jimin??"
"Jimin oppa!!"
"That's the year 2 guy!"

Year 1s started squealing.
I looked at them in disgust.
Only if they know how much of a dick he really is.

Music started playing.
People started cheering and clapping.

"Hyeri let's go downstairs!!"

Naeun pulled my arm, dragging me with her.

We pushed through the crowd and made it to the front.

"Yo yo yo!! Wassup!!!!"

Shit,
It's my overly enthusiastic PE teacher.

"We're having another dance battle today, after a long time... Everybody cheer!!!"

She raised her hand in the air.
Doing the rock sign.
The crowd started cheering.
Burn it Up by WannaOne came on.
The crowd started getting hype.
They're one of the most popular rookie groups at the moment.

"Jimin oppa!!~"

Girls stared screaming.
Jimin came out of the crowd.
He started dancing.
His body moved to the song.
Not missing a single beat.
I had to admit.
He's a good dancer.

The song stoped.
Jimin stoped right on beat and did a little bow and winked at the crowd.
Which made the girls go crazy.

"Thank you Jimin! Who would want to come out next?"

The teacher said while she scanned the crowd.

"Lee Taemin! Lee Taemin!"

The crowd started chanting.
It you were a new student in school,
you'd most likely get called out onto one of these dance battles.

A group of year 3s pushed Taemin into the middle of the circle.
The crowd still chanting and cheering.
I didn't even know he was here.

Taemin stood in the middle of the circle.
Doing nothing.
He looked really awkward and shy as usual.
He looked like he didn't know what to do.

I don't think he can dance.
