A New Chapter

Chapter 6

Who the fuck decided that school should start so early in the damn morning.

I literally have to drag myself out of bed to get to the shower. First world problems.

"Good morning baby girl." I pick up Amelia in my arms pulling her into a bear hug. "Morning mommy." She whispers in my ear as her tiny arms gently wrap around the back of my neck.

God I love my baby girl.

"Have a good day today sweetie." My mom says as she pours orange juice into a glass.

"Thanks mom, you too. Bye Amelia-bear." I give her tummy a quick tickle before heading out the door.

I grab the books that I need for the first few periods from my locker before heading to home room.

"Hey Ashley..." A familiar deep voice grabs my attention and without turning around I know who it is.

"What do you want Ethan." I sigh.

He walks around and stands in front of me with a pained expression etched onto his features.

"Look Ashley, I'm so sorry for what I said to you the other night. I was having a shit evening and I took it out on you. I'm really sorry." He sounds sincere, but I don't know.

"Do you realise that I've known you just over a week and this is the second time you've had to apologise to me." I wasn't asking him I was stating a fact and he knew it.

He runs a hand through his messy hair. "God I know. So much for good first impressions right?" He gives me a lob sided grin shoving his hands deep into his jean pockets.

Should I forgive him? God I don't even know. I ponder in my thoughts for a moment before deciding on what to do.

"This is your last god damn chance Ethan okay? I will personally rip your balls off if you do some shit like that again." I give him a tight lip smile before walking around him and continuing my way to home room.

The day quickly goes by until it's lunch and I'm sitting in the cafeteria with Sophie eating my chicken sandwich.

"Ugh so then Ms Collin just started shouting at me for absolutely no reason at all! All I said was-" Sophie was cut off by a shrill cough.

I turn my head to see satan herself; Nina.

"So you're back huh?" She says rudely, glaring at me threw her long lashes.

"It would seem that way, yes." I say politely. Kill them with kindness as my mother always says.

"Yes unfortunately you are. How's Anna?" She snickers.

"It's Amelia and you know it. She's doing fine." I narrow my eyes at her, daring her to bad mouth my daughter. Just punch her; something my dad would say. He was never one for beating around the bush.

"Whatever. Does she have any siblings on the way?" Nina asks with fake excitement looking down at my stomach.

"Oh fuck off Nina. You just got treated for Chlamydia." Sophie cuts in with an evil smirk.

"W-what?! Who told you that? Seth was the one who gave it to me in the first place!" Nina screeches slapping a perfectly manicured hand onto the table.

I can't help but burst into laughter; "Always so classy Nina. I see things haven't changed."

She gives me a cold look before dramatically turning and stalking off to her table, sitting between Ethan and her idiot of a friend; Allison.
