"You're not my brother!" Dalal yelled.
"Of course I am" he chuckled as if it was the dumbest question
ever, "Even Ayane knows that."
"You said I was a stranger? I wasn't walking that night... I was in bed after my mother kissed my head and said goodnight!!!" I was definitely freaking out now.
"You remember!" Dalal acted all excited, then I nodded my head
at her 'brother' and she got the point.
"Let's go home girls." He ordered.
"Let's not." We suggested.
"Comin'?"
"No." Dalal was proud of her answer, but then we were knocked out.
~~~Time skip~~~
Everything was hazy and blurred. I looked around for a second clearing my vision, then I noticed something.
"Where are we?" I asked myself as I tried to move my hands, but
realized I was tied up.
"W-why am I tied up?" I said trying to break free.
I noticed I was in a room with nothing in there but boxes and
barrels only. I looked around then I spotted Dalal. She was laying on
the ground, tied up too. I tried to move towards her but I fell flat on my face.
"Hey Dalal, wake up." I whispered trying not make any noise if someone noticed.
"Come on, wake up." I whispered trying to get close to her.
I was able to tap dalal softly in the head with my foot so that she wouldn't yell if I kicked her hard.
"Huh? Ayane? Where are we?" Dalal asked as she tried to get up,
but couldn't because she was tied up.
"Uh why are we tied up?" She asked.
"I don't know, but we need to get out of here." I whispered.
"Well, what's your plan?" She asked.
I looked around the room to find anything sharp but there was nothing but boxes and barrels. I looked over at Dalal to see her worried expression. I can tell that she was think about something.
"Hey Dalal? Are you ok?" I asked.
"N-no, no really." She said looking at the ground, "I'm worried about my brother. If that guy who was an imposter of my brother, and he knew I was his sister, then Chris is probably gone." Dalal said realizing about it.
I stared at her with sympathy then I heard footsteps coming closer. We both layed down on the ground, pretending that we were still knocked out. I peaked one of my eye out and saw a sharp metal behind a tall man who was looking for something. I closed my eyes as he was moving closer to me then I opened my eyes when the man closed the door.
"Hey Dalal follow me. I found something that can cut the rope."
I said moving over to the sharp metal. Dalal followed then stopped and waited for me to cut my rope first. After the rope was off we went to the door but it was locked. I looked around to find another way out but another person was coming.
"Quick, hide." I whispered loudly.
I hid in a box and dalal hid in a barrel. We saw two guys looking around which seems like they were looking for us, I'm guessing.
"Hey where are they?" A man
asked.
"I don't know. Do you think they escape, I mean look over there." A friend of his said pointing over to the direction where we left the rope.
"We should keep looking. Not just in here but everywhere else too." He said angrily.
I used my hands to cover my mouth so that I wouldn't make any noise. I kept quiet until they finally checked the whole room and left. I opened the box cover, then I let out a huge amount of sucked in air. I couldn't breathe in the box since there was not many air holes to breathe out or in from. Dalal opened the cover of the barrel and looked at me worried. I can tell that she wanted to leave this place before they come back here again. I looked around the room then looked up to see that there was something for us to escape. It looked like there was an opening. I nudged Dalal and pointed at the opening.
"How on earth are we getting up there?" Dalal jumped up and down.
"I don't know." I muttered, "one of us could climb on the other, then pull the second up?"
"How about we stack the boxes up?" Dalal asked.
"Would that be stable enough?"
"Well they are filled with some random stuff inside."
"Not marshmallows I hope!" I tried to lighten the mood.
"Of course not. The barrel I was in when we were hiding in was filled with heavy objects." Dalal mentioned while moving the heavy
barrel.
"Ouch, okay, is the stuff too heavy?"
"No, not really but it'll be stable enough for us."
"Okay, let's go stack some items before they return!"
"But, let's make sure they are filled in because there are some that are not full." Dalal suggested opening the box to see if it's full or not.
Dalal and I moved the heavy ones and stacked them which seemed like a staircase. We both climbed up in the opening and we heard footsteps and chattering coming closer towards the door. We both hurried and I kicked one of the barrel so that we can have time to run away. They heard the crash when I kicked it and hey immediately ran in to see that the heavy objects all scattered on the ground. We crawled as fast as we could through the opening and when we heard rain we knew that we were almost out.
"Let's climb!" I motioned for her to follow me.
"Oh, no..." I muttered harshly under my breath as I reached the top to see the most clueless thing in my life.
A maze. The maze is made of stone and grass. It was straight in front of us and surrounding all around us, making no more than one escape. Our only way out. I heard clanging, and there was only one thing left to do, we fight and run to the exit.
