I woke up squished in my tent with Dalal next to me. It started to rain last night, so we let the boys be squished in the other tent.
“Get up!” I yelled and kicked Dalal.
    “Why the rude awakening?”
“Cuz we don't have enough food for four people for a whole week.”
“Well we can go get some. I only know how to catch fish.”
“Really? Can you teach me?” I asked
“Sure, but I'll have to make you a rod though.”
“Great! I'll make the spear for real prey!”
“So you wake me up to complain when you already had it under control?”
    “Come on.”
I walked out the tent to look at the azure horizon, so beautiful. I felt a few taps on my shoulder, and I turned around. Den was about a foot away, and a bit in my personal bubble.
“Do you want to take a step back?” I asked.
    “No,” he replied.
“Okay,” I spoke softly as I look in his dark mesmerizing eyes.
“Hey, get up JAKE!” I screamed.
Obviously at this point it got out of Den’s comfort for his ears as he walked away. After a while we were all gathered around the fire I made.
“So dude who's your crush?” Jake insisted.
    “I don't know.” Den responded.
    “Is it Anna?” Jake asked.
    “No.”
    “Who's Anna?” Dalal asked.
“Only Den’s closest friend.” Jake teased.
    “Whom I don't like.”
    “Dude, then who is it?”
    “I don't know.”
“Do you know anything about this girl?”
“Enough.” He looked at me for a second which made me blush, but it couldn't be me, could it, I swiped my hair behind my ear as he continued, “I like two girls actually.”
“Does the one go to your school?” I asked.
    “I don't know.”
    “How can you not know?”
    “It's not that I don't know.”
“It's that I'm not going to tell you!”
“Why don't you want to tell me?”
    “I didn't say I didn't want to tell you, just that I won't.”
“Are you ever going to tell even your crush that you like them?” I changed the subject slightly.
    “No.”
    “Why?” Dalal barged in.
    He didn't respond.
“I'm not going to ask anymore questions,” I started walking towards the woods, but I heard footsteps.
I turned around to warn my friends, “Collect everything, we need a move on this trip.”
I was a little disappointed because I wanted to know if he liked me or no, but I walked away because I didn't know if I wanted to know the answer.
I grabbed a jug of unpurified water from my tent and dumped it on the fire. The soothing sizzling had stopped, and what lay before me is no more than evidence we were here. I picked up the logs and headed for the stream.
The birds chirped and sang a simplistic melody. I kicked a few twigs aside and out of my way, and threw the logs in the clear sparkling stream.
“Okay we only have two big logs, we can fit about two people on each log” I said, “I'll pick this one.” I said pointing at the left log.
“I'll go with you then.” Den mentioned as I was getting on the log.
“Then me and jake will get on this log.” Dalal pointed out.
“Should we boys sit in the front?” Den asked.
“Nah we're good, time to show what we can do” I said, “besides if we fall, you guys will catch us right?”
“Yeah, yeah, we'll catch you if you fall. That seems much more better than us being in front.”
“Uh I don't think I'll be able to catch you Dalal.” Jake said worriedly.
“It's fine. If you can't catch me when I fall, then swim and save me.”
“All right, I'll lead the way.” I pointed out
“We’ll be right behind you.” Dalal mentioned.
It was a good thing that this morning was warm because all of our feet would have been frozen cold in the water, but the water is nice and warm right now. I reminded everyone to stay alert in case the kidnapper found us. We didn't really think of an escape. Until we heard barking to our left.
“Well got any ideas!?” Dalal panicked, “better hurry up because this river has two paths.”
    “Uh...go right!” I panicked.
We turned to the right path, then we heard the barking slowly fade. We all sighed, but then we all heard rushing water ahead.
“Uh den, I think we went to a rough stream.” Jake said.
“What do we do!?” Dalal said panicking, “should we get off the logs?”
“We can't, the current is too strong.” I answered.
“Well what can we do?” Jake asked worriedly.
“Let's just wait and see” den responded.
“What are you crazy!?” I asked.
“It's the only choice we have.” Den answered.
I shook my head like crazy. “There is no way I'm going to-” I stopped when we all slowly started to go down the powerful rushing stream. The logs flipped over and we all fell into the water. We were all being drifted away by the powerful current. I tried my hardest to swim up to the surface to get air. I managed to get some air, but I was pulled down immediately. I swallowed some water and swallowed some more when I tried to get air. It's like I'm chained to the ground where there is water slowly rising up for me to drown. I was getting weak from trying. My vision was slowly beginning to black out. I looked up in the water then looked around after I heard a splash. I couldn't see who it was since my vision was blacked out by the time I heard the splash.
