Chapter 10: A Bitter Reunion

In the Kalos region, a group of three kids were walking down Route 1 on their way to Vaniville Town. One of them, a small girl, was running ahead. She had shiny golden blonde hair tied in a side ponytail with an orange band and sky blue eyes and was wearing a brown short sleeved top with a soft black bow on the neckline, knee length black leggings covered by a puffy white skirt resembling a cloud, and some pink colored Mary Jane shoes. In the girl's yellow shoulder bag was a sleeping Dedenne. Behind her was a boy and another girl, holding hands. He had bright yellow messy hair that appeared to be somewhat electrified with a lightning bolt shaped tuft of hair sprouting from the top of his head and the same blue eyes as the small girl and was wearing large round glasses, a blue jumpsuit with a yellow collar and yellow stripes on the knees and bottom cuffs, and black shoes with white soles. The boy also sported a backpack like cybernetic contraption on his back. The other girl had very long creamy blonde hair tied in a big, thick, high fluffy ponytail and green-gray eyes and was wearing red sunglasses on top of her head, a short white and red sleeveless dress over black cycling shorts, a gray V-neck over her top, and white high tops with red wheels fitted in the bottom, which she was skating slowly on. Her Lucario was running alongside the little girl.

"Hey, Big Brother, Korrina, come on, speed it up, you lovebirds!" she exclaimed in a teasing manner. This caused both Clemont and Korrina to blush slightly.

"Bonnie, we'd like to enjoy our romantic walk down Route 1 in peace, if you don't mind." she stated as they gave each other loving smiles. Bonnie just stood there with a dumbfounded look on her face. Lucario smirked at the three of them.

"Uh, Clemont, I'm still getting used to the fact that you got a very pretty girlfriend without my help. And a fellow Gym Leader at that." Bonnie admitted. Clemont and Korrina couldn't help but giggle at this.

"Yeah, I've always had a crush on Korrina since the time we first met along with Ash and Serena. I just had to gather up the courage to tell her that myself. Love can't be forced. You'll see one day when you get a keeper for yourself." he said with pride evident in his voice.

"Speaking of those two, I wonder how they're doing. I sure wouldn't mind a Pikachu vs. Mega Lucario rematch. Or Mega Lucario vs. Ash-Greninja. It's a shame that we never got to test that power ourselves. Wulfric sure was lucky being the only Gym Leader here who has experienced the power of Ash-Greninja." Korrina replied as she got excited at the possibilities. Lucario nodded enthusiastically at those words.

Clemont smirked before saying, "Actually, I would consider Wulfric to be unlucky. After all, his Mega Abomasnow couldn't beat Ash and Greninja when they were fully synchronized. Speaking of Greninja, I wonder if he is around here somewhere." Bonnie had a mischievous smile as she remembered getting into Ash and Serena's chat session.

"Actually, Clemont, Korrina, Greninja is back with Ash now." she said. Clemont, Korrina, and Lucario were stunned by the revelation.

"WHAT?! How did you know about that?" he asked, although he could instantly guess the answer to that question.

Clemont's suspicions were proven to be correct, as Bonnie gulped before saying in a nervous tone, "Uh, I may have gotten into Ash and Serena's chat session yesterday. Yeaaaaah." He covered his eyes with his hand and shook his head in disbelief.

"Oh, Bonnie, what am I going to do with you?" Clemont muttered under his breath. Korrina had to stifle a laugh at that.

"Oh, lighten up, Clemont. Bonnie just misses teasing Ash and Serena on a daily basis, don't you?" she asked in a soothing tone. Bonnie had a sad smile at the sound of that question.

"Yeah, I just miss them in general, which is why, when I turn ten in a couple of days, I'm going to get my license, get a Froakie as my Kalos starter, go see if Squishy would like to join us, and then go to the Alola region to be with Ash. And since he's most likely going to travel over to Hoenn to surprise Serena and support her during the Grand Festival, I'm going there with him as well." she stated as her lips curved upward into a more determined look. Clemont couldn't help but feel proud of his little sister.
