Alolan Danger **ON HIATUS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE**

Chapter 21: Legendary Worries

Three hours had passed since the incident with Miette, Olympia, and Tierno. A couple of helicopters were making their way to the Alola region. Inside one of them, Ash and Pikachu were staring at the sea, devoid of any emotion except for anger. Next to them, Gary and Lillie, with Snowy sleeping on her lap, were talking to Clemont and Korrina. Alain was talking to Mairin, who was holding on to Chespie. And Bonnie was talking to Dedenne, Squishy, and a Froakie she had gotten from Professor Sycamore, which she nicknamed Frogger. Ash and Pikachu had remained silent throughout the whole ride, which was starting to worry everyone.

"Ash, are you and Pikachu OK? I mean, you haven't said anything since you accepted Sawyer's offer." Lillie stated. Ash and Pikachu both shook their heads before turning to the group.

"No, we're not OK. Tierno just attempted to murder Sylveon, for Arceus sake! If that traitorous son of a bitch thinks that he deserves Serena more than I do after that stunt he tried to pull off, he's got another thing coming to him! At least Brock wouldn't willingly join an evil organization just for a girl." he replied with annoyance evident in his voice. Pikachu's cheeks sparked menacingly at those words. Gary and Lillie nodded solemnly. Everybody else looked rather confused.

"Now why would Brock want to do that? He is your best friend, isn't he?" Clemont inquired curiously. Ash didn't want to answer that question, so Gary took the liberty of doing it for him.

"Have you guys heard that he could be quite flirtatious whenever he encounters a beautiful girl or Nurse Joy or Officer Jenny?" he asked back.

Clemont, Bonnie, Dedenne, Squishy, and Korrina nodded in agreement before he said, "When Ash saw Bonnie propose to Viola, he was like, '...Brock?' She reminds him of him every single time she goes on her matchmaking rampage." Ash suddenly smirked evilly before turning to Gary.

"That reminds me. Hey Oak Tree, what did Brock think of those cheerleaders who were with you in Kanto and Johto?" he asked mischievously. Pikachu had to stifle a laugh at that. Gary turned pale as he turned to face Lillie, who was angrier than a Gyarados.

"CHEERLEADERS?!" she yelled out. Snowy abruptly woke up at the sound of that and shot a cold glare at Gary. He gulped before shakily turning back to Ash.

"You just had to mention them in front of her, didn't you, Ashy Boy?" he hissed out in fear. Ash simply snickered at that.

"Ah, how I missed the 'Gary, Gary, he's our man! If he can't do it, no one can!' chants. That was sarcasm, by the way. Gary ditched them after the Silver Conference. And that was five years ago, so I highly doubt that any one of those cheerleaders is going to suddenly show up in Alola looking to ask him out. Besides, Lillie, Gare Bear loves you anyway. Don't you, Gary?" he asked in a teasing tone. Gary's face became red as he stared back at Lillie, who was also blushing.

"Well, he's not wrong, you know? I wouldn't trade you away for anybody or anything. You are not going to get ditched like those cheerleaders did. I love you too much for that, Lillie flower." he said passionately. Lillie couldn't help but smile sweetly at that.

"Well then, if you truly do love me, then kiss me." she replied with a wink. Gary was only too happy to oblige, as his lips crashed into Lillie's. They kissed for a minute with his arms gently wrapped around her waist and hers gently wrapped around his neck, deepening it. When they separated, both Gary and Lillie got lost in each other's eyes.

"Satisfied?" he asked with a grin. Lillie nodded before snuggling in Gary's chest.

"I'm very satisfied now. Thanks. Love you too, Gare Bear. I'm sorry I doubted you." she answered as she glanced up apologetically at Gary. He shrugged.

"Nah, it's fine. Those cheerleaders are all in the past now. You are my present." Gary said with lust.

"And hopefully future." he silently mumbled to himself. As they separated, Gary and Lillie turned to see almost the whole gang's red faces. Ash and Pikachu were the only ones who did not react to the kiss, as they had gone back to sulking. And, with the short misunderstanding resolved, Snowy went back to sleep.
