Chapter 14: Possessed

"-But when the Insecticons suddenly backed off, I got inspired by my proximity to the power core and did what I do best.", Bulkhead finished the story of our battle."You trashed Megatron's ride like a rock star in a hotel room.", Miko said using the rock sign."We should hit the 'cons right now while they're vulnerable.", Arcee suggested.

"Megatron's warship may be grounded, but let's not forget that we remain vastly outnumbered, especially since has added the insecticon hive to his ranks.", sire said, I nodded as I held Magna on my hip.

"Then maybe it's time for me to call in an air strike.", Agent Fowler stated.

"Or for us to consider more extreme measures, Agent Fowler.", Optimus said, I looked at him worriedly, knowing exactly what he wanted to do.

Optimus, sire and I walked toward the relics, stopping at one in particular.

"The Spark extractor? Optimus, are you certain you want to travel down this path?", sire asked.

"While I am deeply reluctant to deploy a weapon of this caliber, especially one forged by Decepticon hands, this may be our only chance to end the war once and for all.", Optimus said, looking down at MagnaBlade and myself.

"Optimus, I'm detecting a massive energy spike at the Decepticon crash site. It appears to be dark Energon.", sire explained.

"Autobots, transform and roll out!", Optimus ordered.

"Hold on, Prime. If you are gonna deploy some kind of super weapon in the final showdown with the 'Cons, it's my job as a representative of planet Earth to bear witness.", Agent Fowler stated.

"Optimus, be careful.", I said, he nodded and they left, "Come on, Magna. You need your morning Energon yet. Jack, Miko, Raf, can you three keep an eye on MagnaBlade while I get him his Energon?"

"Sure.", Jack nodded and I set Magna on the floor so the kids could accompany him.

I walked into the Energon storage room and grabbed two cubes. I made my way back to the main silo and gave Magna his Energon cube. The kids helped give the cube to him. 

"They're alive, but I've never encountered this form of stasis lock.", sire said.

I turned around and dropped the other cube, my optics widened. I walked over to Optimus and took his servos in mine. No response. Not even through the bond.

"Sire, what's going on?", I asked.

"The 'cons are crossing the Atlantic, making a beeline for North America.", Agent Fowler stated.

"Wait. We can track them?", Jack asked, my optics returning to their normal size.

"Why aren't they cloaked, like usual?", Raf asked Fowler.

"None of this makes a lick of sense. They had us in their cross hairs, but the 'Cons just took off.", Fowler stated.

"They even bailed on that Spark extractor thingy.", Miko said, my optics widened again.

I knew what was going on. I knew who was controlling the vessel.

Well, if the ship isn't cloaked, maybe the communications relay's open, and-", Jack suggested. 

"Yep, yep.Are you suggesting that we just call Megatron and ask him what's happening up there?!", sire asked, Jack and the other's shrugged their shoulders.

"It would help us figure out what is going on and maybe find a way to reverse the affects.", I said and turned toward MagnaBlade who was wanting to be picked up by his sire, "MagnaBlade needs his father."
