I've Found You

Chapter 9: Forgiveness Doesn't Come Easy

I sighed as I stared at the horizon. It's only been a couple days since mine and Optimus' fight and I've been sleeping in the spare berth in Jackie's ship. Sometimes I'd get up and we would be flying around someplace. 

Your probably wondering how Wheeljack and I are siblings. Well, we're twins. Sire was working the night shift and wasnt able to come to see us being born. He still regrets not taking that time off. Anyway, when we were sleeping, someone had come into the room and took Wheeljack. My carrier was too tired to realize she had only one sparkling. 

According to her, she only gave birth to one. Me. She doesn't remember giving birth to Jackie because they had given her heavy pain meds which acted like high grade. Jackie found out that we are siblings because of a CNA test we had to take before joining the wreckers. It was to see if our creators or ansesters had any disease that would keep us from participating in the war. They had told Jackie and he told me.

The only one who knows we are siblings is the commander and my best friend, Ultra Magnus. He is not really a fan of Jackie because of how much he likes grenades and loud explosions. I, on the other hand, only use grenades when it's necessary. He learned that when we were training.

I turned around when I heard heavy pedes, thinking it might be Wheeljack. Instead of seeing Jackie, I seen Optimus. Tears threatened to fall as I turned back around. What Optimus had said hit my spark and I wake up every night after a nightmare as humans call it. Having nightmares doesn't really happen between sparkmates which is starting to scare me in itself. I should ask Wheeljack to scan me with his medical scanner to see if something is wrong.

"Silver, I came to apologize. What I said wasn't me. I-", Optimus started to say.

"Stop. I don't want your petty apology.", I snapped, "Just.... leave me alone."

I heard him sigh, "Very well."

Optimus turned around and went back into the base. I groaned and shifted, trying to get comfortable. 

"You okay? You don't look so good and you're sending your pain my way.", Jackie said, I gave him an apologetic look.

"Sorry. Optimus came up here and tried to apologize. I told him I needed space for a few days and then he could try again. I accidentally snapped at him too. Hey, I was going to ask, can you use that scanner you have on me? I want to make sure I'm not sick.", I answered.

He nodded and went into the ship. Less than ten seconds later, he came out with the device. I stood up and he scanned me. 

"Uhh Sil, I'm no genius but just looking at the results, I can tell that you're sparked.", I stared at him for a second and smiled.

"Wahoooo! I'm going to be a carrier!", I cheered and hugged froze, "I'm going to be a carrier....... I have to tell Optimus!"

"Whoa there. Slow down. Give it a few days first. After all, you wanted space remember?", Wheeljack laughed.

I nodded and walked into the ship and sat down on the passenger seat. I started drifting off into recharge.

"If you go joyriding......wake me up so I don't fall again.....", I muttered as Wheeljack sat in the driver seat and he laughed.

I closed my optics and let myself fall into recharge. 

I woke up after what seemed like two minutes. However, I was moved and Bulkhead was in my previous spot. We were in the air. I sat up and spotted Wheeljack smirking.

"Mornin' sleeping beauty.", he joked, I growled.

"Jackie, I told you to notify me if we were going to take off.", I said, standing up.

"Sorry. Prime and the rest of the team, minus Doc, are down below. I'm landing the Jackhammer then Bulk and I are going to clean up.", Wheeljack said as he started to defend he ship.

"I'm going too.", I said.

"No, Silver, you're not. Do you really want to risk getting hurt?", he asked.

I knew exactly what he meant. He didn't want the sparkling to die.

"Okay. Can I at least help from the sky? I'll be careful. I promise.", I said as the ship settled on the ground.

"Be careful and take precautions.", Wheeljack said as Bulkhead exited, "I don't want to loose either of you."

Wheeljack left to join up with Bulkhead. As soon as they were clear, I closed the ramp and started the ship back up. I took off into the sky and aimed the guns at a nearby vehicon.
