I arrived at the school only a minute late, and I ran to my locker to drop things off. Along the way I bumped into the guy who basically saved my ass. Which I then fell on.

“Oh, it’s you.. How are you doing?” He asked.

I stood up, “Better than my ass certainly…”

He laughed, and pushed his purple hair out of the way. He looked around me, and down at my ass.

“Well… It certainly could use some help!”

That made me laugh, and I looked at him holding my bag closer to me. “So… what brings you here?”

“My parents… they thought a prep school would do me good.”

“I guess not, you’re already saving people’s asses.”

Another laugh from him, “Say, maybe you want to hang out later, maybe at lunch?”

I smiled a little, “That would be lovely.. Meet you at the front doors?”

    “Sure!”

We smiled at each other and then went on our way. I finally reached my locker, and shoved my bag in, grabbing my books, and rushing to class. My Biology teacher was not going to like me. I poked my head in the room, and then snuck in quietly.

“Mr. Aadin Malory… I hope you have a very good explanation as to why you are late.”

I stopped dead in my tracks, ‘Dammit! I was halfway to my seat!’ I thought. Standing straight, I turned to my biology teacher. Mr. West who was staring at me impatiently.

“Well you see, I didn’t wake up to pretty late this morning, and not only that with the foster family I’m with they had to drop off their daughter at school as well… If you have any issues with why I was late, I’m sure you can ask my foster mother Jillian.”

He narrowed his eyes at me, “Hmmm… You got away with this one Malory…”

I sighed, “I keep saying that you need to call me by my first name, not my last…” I then quickly took my seat.

“Now as I was saying, DNA is the formula for all….” I quickly drowned Mr. West out as I looked down at my empty page that I pulled out to doodle on.

The first thing that came to mind was the mystery emo that had saved my life almost a month ago now. Staring blankly at my page, I began to sketch his face. Once finished, I looked down at the finish product, and smiled a little bit, till I noticed Mr. West standing right in front of me.

“Day dreaming Malory?” He asked as he looked down at the page. “Dreaming of dating such a boy?”

Everyone around me snickered, as Mr.West pulled my sketch from beneath me, and took it over to the trash can.

“I will have none of this day dreaming in my class.” He crumpled up the paper, and dropped it into the can.

I watched the paper fall, and sighed. I wasn’t about to fight, not that I normally did anyway. I then looked at the board, and listened to Mr.West’s boring lecture for today. The bell rang after words, and I stood up gathered, my bags, and walked towards the trash can. I bent down and pulled my paper from the trash can. I left the room, and uncrumpled my paper. Smoothing down the paper, I looked at the mysterious emo kid’s sketched face.

There was a sudden burst of laughter, as a group of jocks walked down the hallway.

“HEY! LOOK! IT’S THE EMO FAGGOT! HOW BOUT YOU COME HERE AND KISS MY LOVELY WHITE ASS!”
