I stepped into the bedroom with all my stuff placed neatly in it. My bed was shoved up against the wall by the window, something that I had never done.

“I hope you don’t mind… it was the only place to put it.”

I turned to fine Jillian there with her daughter. I nodded a little.

“Yeah… it’s fine…” I set my bag down on the floor, and walked over to my computer desk.

“I hope you don’t mind.. but I’d like to spend some time by myself…”

“Oh, of course go right ahead.”

“Come on Amanda.”

Jillian led Amanda from the room, and left me to do my stuff. I sighed, and looked at my laptop closed on my desk.

“so… new life…”

I opened my laptop, and turned it on. I watched the screen flare to life, and quickly open up the login screen. I entered my password, and opened the google chrome browser, to find I had no connection. I frowned, and stood up walking over to my bedroom door.

“Hey Jillian!”

“Yes? Can I help you Aadin?”

“Umm… I have no internet connection, is there a reason for that?”

“Oh sorry! I forgot about that.”

Her footsteps came down the hallway, and I stepped away from the door.

“Let me get you set up.”

She walked over to my laptop, and opened up the internet connection window, and entered the wifi password.

“That should be good.” She looked at me. “Don’t spend all night in here Aadin… We do want you to come visit us… I’m sure my husband will be happy to meet you.”

I nodded slightly.

“DINNER!” Jillian yelled down the hall, and I stood up from my desk.

I stretched, and then exited the room, walking over to kitchen. I breathed in the smell of tacos, and walked towards the stove.

“I hope you're ok with tacos…”

“It’s fine, I don’t mind having tacos at all”

I pulled one of the tortilla wraps from the bag, and began filling it with my favourite toppings. I turned to the table and sat down next to Amanda.

“Hey kid, what’s up?” I asked, trying to at least be friendly with this family.

“Taco! taco!” The kid bounced up and down before taking a large messy bite of her taco.

I smiled a little bit, and then leaned over my plate to take a bite of my own taco, that was shoved full of cheese, tomatoes, black olives, ground beef, avocado, sour cream, and salsa.

“Jillian! Honey please get me a beer from the fridge!”

I looked up to find a very business like man set down his briefcase.

“And this must be Aadin.” The guy smiled a bit, in a very creepy way. “I’m sure we will get along.”

I looked back down and quickly took a bite of my taco. I didn’t really feel like speaking to this man. Something felt off to me about the man, and I wanted to almost stay as far away from him as possible. I kept my eyes down and continued to eat.

The man sat down and looked at me. “Boy… You need to communicate in this house.”

I swallowed my third bite of taco, and then looked up at him. “That’s good to know.” I replied and then went back to eating.

The man frowned, and then looked at Jillian. “I thought I asked about getting a beer?”

“And I thought I keep saying you can get it yourself?” Jillian responded.

The man stood, and I heard a smack, before the refrigerator door opening. I closed my eyes as I chewed on  my mouthful of taco. This was not going to be fun at all.

After dinner, I walked back to my room and sat down at my desk. I looked at the computer screen, as suddenly a billion of comments on my newest post started showing up.

“Congrats on getting out of that house!”

“So happy for you! Praying that you enjoy your new life!”

“Hope you find happiness in the new place!”

The comments went on and on about me getting out of my parents house. I smiled a little bit, and then typed in the comments box my response.

Tormented kid: “Thanks guys for your support! I’m not sure if I’m, staying here or not, so don’t get you guy’s hopes up!”

I entered my comment, and then picked up my ipod that was sitting to the side of my laptop.

“Son… Do you always sit in the bedroom alone?” I froze, and turned to find the guy at my bedroom door.

“Yeah… Why?” I asked.

He stepped into the room and closed the door behind him. “No reason… just we are gunna have a little fun.”

My eyes widened, and I stood from my spot on my computer chair. It didn’t take me long to figure out what this guy meant… Without warning I was shoved down to my bed, and my clothes stripped from my body. I whimpered slightly.

I woke the next morning, covered in sweat. I was wearing clothes, and I was breathing heavily. Did that really happen last night or was it just a nightmare. I was still sitting in my computer chair, and my laptop open on my desk.

I breathed a sigh of relief, and looked at my alarm clock. ‘shit… I’m going to be late for school...’ I thought before jumping out of my chair, and grabbing my bag.

“Aadin! Your gunna be late!”

I looked towards my bedroom door, as Jillian called out to me. “Yeah I know! I’ll be out in a minute!”
