I woke from a nightmare, that was too horrible to even talk about. The sun was streaming into my bedroom, and over my bed, onto my face. I rubbed my face, and wiped the tears from my cheeks before standing up. I gathered up clothes, and pulled them on before heading out into the kitchen. John, and Jillian were both standing in the living room, looking on the tv.

“The criminal is currently being tracked down to be returned to the prison.” The anchor said.

I just ignored it, and went about getting myself breakfast. I heard the tv shut off, and then foot steps as John, and Jillian walked into the kitchen silently. I looked up at them as I shoved a spoonful of cheerios into my mouth. They appeared a little worried, and I frowned.

    “Something wrong?” I asked.

“No.. No, not at all.” John replied.

    “Ok then..”

I continued to eat my cereal, and when I was finished I set the bowl into the sink. I then walked into the bathroom to brush my teeth. I finished getting ready for my day, and then walked to the door.

    “I’m heading out!”

“Alright, keep safe!” Jillian called from the kitchen.

    “All the time!”

I then stepped out the door, and then walked down the hall. I took the elevator down to the ground level, and then stepped out of the building. The sun felt nice on my skin, and warmed me up. My phone vibrated in my back pocket, and I pulled it out.

From Quxxin: Hey, School is having a dance in a couple weeks, wanna go?

    To Quxxin: Hell yes!

From Quxxin: K good! Cuz I alrdy got tickets

    To Quxxin: GOOD!

I smiled, and then replaced my phone into my pocket. I walked off, and then hopped on the bus. I quickly dropped the bus fare, and then turned to find a place to sit. As I passed the front seats, I swore that I saw someone familiar. I shook my head, and found a spot in the back to sit down.

I pulled my headphones over my ears, and then pulled my Ipod out, quickly finding the playlist that I want. I hit play, and then looked out the window. As the bus moved, I watched the scenery pass, and other cars as well.

                              ********************************************

The bus came quickly up to my stop, and I climbed off, and looked at the store I was going to go into. I turned around, and looked to the other person who was getting off. My eyes went wide when I saw my father.

    “Hello… Aadin..”

I gulped, and then quickly began running.

    “Get back here you brat!”

My father quickly grabbed me, and dragged me off. I squeaked as I was picked up, and carried off to an abandoned building. Inside, I was tossed onto an old musty mattress. A cloud of dust puffed up around me.

“Now..” My father looked at me.

“Get away from me!” I yelled.

My father climbed onto the bed, and reached towards me. I screamed as loud as I could. My father growled, and grabbed a dirty rag from the side of the bed, and then quickly wrapped it around my head, and stuck part of it in my mouth to shut me up.

    …

    …

    …

    Nobody could hear me scream.
