Braking stereotypes was one thing, but getting on someone's nerves was something else. That's exactly what Mark Tuan thought when his mother decided to move back to South Korea.
She told Mark she needed some fresh air out of this ‘suffocating’ town, but Mark knew the real reason.
His dad.
A whole new life with new. . . everything ! He was still in high school ! This was not going to be easy.
Mark had a life here, friends, a boyfriend, good grades and he wasn't happy to say the least. He thought he could change his mom's mind with that, but his mom was standing on her ground as hard as a rock and didn't consider flinching anytime soon.
His father was on a business trip and he's the reason Mrs. Tuan insisted on moving out as if they were chased. Mrs. Tuan received a sextape of Mr. Tuan cheating on her to some barista.
Long story short, Mark had a day to say everything he wanted to his friends and brake up with his boyfriend, because he didn't believe in long distance relationships. To him, they could only last months. So, he would've deprived his boyfriend from kisses and cuddles and he just couldn't do that to him.

Even though it was April, Mark still had to wear a loose black jacket with its hood on top of his head.

🐝 there soon babe!He sighed as he read the message ‘please don't be. . .’ He didn't want to rush this day, it was the last one after all. U.S.A was a complicated country, but this was place where he could freely say ‘wow I'm breathing’ and not receive weird looks and remarks.

“It's okay, I understand. . .”, he said as his arms got limp and warm tears streamed down his face. Mark couldn't bare to see such beauty ruined with salty tears.
“Sunshine. . .”, he hugged him as hard as he could before sobbing with him. He barely could force words out of his mouth as he was choking back sobs “forgive me sunshine. . . I want you to be happy sunshine, so please, move on, with no one such as Mark Tuan in your life”,
Little boy was shaking under Mark's arms, which made him want to cry even more, but he held it in. And just like that there was no one such as Mark Tuan in his sunshine's life anymore.

Yes No“I'm sorry about your boyfriend Mark, really, I am”, his mother said while getting her seat belt on. Mark pursed his lips into a thin line and plugged in his earphones. He really didn't want to talk. “You could've had a long distance relationship y'know, we could've visited. You should've made the right decision”,
At this, Mark's finger hovered over the music icon. His eyes looked up at his mother, who was trying to get her key from her bag. “In the first place who made me make a decision? And for, if I may add, a stupid reason?”,
His mom looked at him, brows furrowed. “Family isn't a stupid reason Mark”, she said and started the engine, at that Mark turned the music on in his phone. But paused as soon as he felt a hand on his shoulder.
“Maybe one last goodbye would be nice”, she said and smiled. Trying to light up the mood, unsuccessfully. “I already deleted him from my contacts though. . .”,
