Chapter 2-Hospital

By the time they got to the hospital Lila was in panic mode. She couldn't lose him not now. She was holding his hand as One of the Paramedics pushes his trolley into the hospital whilst the other sat on top of him and was explaining to the Doctor's his stats. 

"He's been down for around 20 minutes with Two rounds of CPR That have so far been unsuccessful."

The Doctor nodded gravely. "Alright, Let's get him in resus, please and get the deliberator pads on him."

The Doctor touches her hand as the other Nurses and another Doctor got to work. "I'm sorry ma'am but you have to give us space to do our jobs. Perhaps you'd be more comfortable in the relatives room??.

Lila shook her head. "No, I'd rather stay."

The Doctor nodded at Lila and turned to the matter at hand. He went over to the Defrillibrator paddles and rubbed them together. "Clear!."

She watches as the shock pumps his chest but nothing happened. She could still hear the noise of the flatline monitors.

The Doctor's tried again with a second attempt. "Clear!."

Lila puts her hands together as if she's in a little prayer. "Please Johnny, Please survive this and I swear if you ask me to marry me again I'll say yes once more and we will get a ring and get married as soon as possible, I'm not gonna let Drake ruin this anymore I swear!."

They watch as the Deliberator paddles shock his chest once again and wait a few seconds staring at the monitor everyone willing him to live.  

Johnny must have heard her because suddenly, A steady beeping noise fills the room. "Well done Everyone, We've got him back."

He walked over to Lila. "What's Your name?."

Lila looks at him apprehensibly. "My name is Lila, Is Johnny Okay?"

The Doctor nodded. "For the moment he's okay but he's not out the woods yet. The next 24 Hours could be critical and he could have catastrophic injuries so there's no telling whether he's going to wake up or not, Also I'm a little worried about his skull there seems to be a fair amount of bleeding there so we will have to get him down to X-ray shortly."

She nodded and hugged The Doctor. "Thank you so much!."

He smiles at her. "You're welcome, Get one of the nurses to come and get me if you need me Okay? There will be a  porter coming up shortly to take him to X-ray."

She nodded. "Has the police been notified?."

He shook his head. "I'm not sure, Why?."

She points at her fiance. "Because that was no accident, This was all My Ex- Boyfriends fault."

The Doctor frowns. "How do you know that this is his fault?."

Lila sighs. "Because I saw him plus he's had it in for me ever since I split up because he thought I cheated on him with his best friend which I did but not till after he accused me of sleeping with him in the first place but then I fell in love with Johnny and he's been terrorising us ever since, He just won't leave us alone."

The Doctor nodded. "I'll inform the Police in that case then, Would you like to have security outside Johnny's room?"  

Lila shook her head. "No Thanks Doctor, I don't think that'll be necessary. Even though I hate him for what he's done, I don't think he thought about the consequences of the aftermath itself." 

She started to have second thoughts. "Actually, You know what? Can you hold off calling the police? At least for now just in case he does turn up because I want to talk to him and see if I can get any answers."

The Doctor sighs. "I'm not really meant to do this but you have until the end of the day and then I have to report it, Do you understand?."

Lila nodded. "I understand, Thanks again Doctor."

She watches as the doctor leaves and walks over to take her seat next to Johnny. She squeezes his hand fearing that Johnny just might die.

"I can't lose you, Johnny, Not now that we've been through too much together. You said love conquers all remember that? We can still have that just please, please hang on with everything you've got."

She stares at him, hoping that he could hear her and hoping he would fight and come back to her. She didn't know what she would do if she lost him. The emotional trauma of all that has happened up till now has really taken it's toll on her. But despite all that, she was wondering what the hell Drake was playing at.

She shakes her head. This wasn't like him, was it? Sure he raised her hand to her a few times but he wasn't a killer. He didn't want to hurt her her or so Lila assumed. He loved her once didn't he? 

The problem was she was a very forgiving person and she hates fighting with people. Some part of her still cares for Drake but this wasn't him, was it? He wasn't the instigator of this terrible plan If it was a plan at all. 

"It had to be that good for nothing jerk Jackson sweet talking in his ear." She racked her brains wondering what went wrong in their relationship that lead to this or rather what she could've possibly done wrong.

After all, She has so far put this all down to jealousy because she is finally happy but what if it's more than that?.

What if, He wants her back? And What if he blackmails her into going to him and if she doesn't then Drake would physically hurt Johnny.

She rubbed her head and pushed the What if's aside. If Drake were to turn up here she would most definitely let rip and tell him exactly how she felt and she was most definitely going to get answers.
