Chapter 12

Hey guys!
So I'm going to be honest with you guys. I have no idea how old the characters in this story are since I've aged and reverse-aged them like 3 times, I'm just going to say how old the important/main characters are in the story currently. Everything that has happened in the previous chapters and first book still happened so it won't really change anything.

(Y/N): 22 years old
Natsu: 23 years old
Zach: 14 years old
Rini: 2 years old
Erza: 23 years old
Gray: 23 years old
Lucy: 22 years old
Wendy: 14 years old

(3rd PoV) (1 year later)

It's been a year since Zach was kidnapped.

The Dragneel family has not been the same since then. They were all heartbroken.

All of Fairy Tail has searched everywhere in Fiore, but they had no luck finding Zach.

"Rini stop spitting!" (Y/N) yelled as she heard spitting noises from the living room.

The noises kept going on, so (Y/N) decided to go to the living room. There stood Rini giggling and spitting.

(Y/N) became aggravated and gave Rini a hard look, "Keep that up and just wait until your dad comes home."

Rini stopped immediately and ran to the play room.

(Y/N) rubbed her eyes tiredly, "I need to take a nap.. I haven't slept in 3 days.."

(Y/N) laid down on the couch and instantly fell into a deep sleep.

"Babe, we're back!" Natsu yelled as he and Happy entered the house.

Hiri and Rit emerged from the kitchen with Rini and stood in front of Natsu and Happy.

Rini started giggling as she hugged Natsu's legs.

"Hey my little dragon." Natsu said as he picked Rini up and carried her on his hip.

"Where's (Y/N)?" Happy asked.

"She's sleeping. Poor girl hasn't slept in days.."

"Yeah.. She's been working hard trying to find him. My best friend.."

Natsu, Hiri, Rit, and Happy all looked at each other with worried and sad looks.

"It's been a year."

Natsu held Rini tighter as he looked down at the ground with a frown, "We still haven't found anything.. Nothing. It's.. It's like he just disappeared into thin air."

Happy, Rit, and Hiri placed a paw on Natsu's legs with sad looks on their faces.

"We're going to find him Natsu. Everyone knows how much you, Rini, and (Y/N) love and miss him."

Natsu nodded and set Rini down, "I know. We'll find him. No matter what."

He walked to the living room and saw his wife sleeping on the couch, with her back facing away from the couch.

Hiri, Rit, and Happy went upstairs with Rini to lay her down for a nap.

Natsu leaned down and kissed (Y/N)'s cheek before picking her up. (Y/N) stirred slightly, but was still asleep.

He went upstairs to their room and set (Y/N) down gently on the bed.

"We're going to find him, (Y/N). I promise."

Rapid knocking came from the door as Natsu was calming down a crying Rini, who had just awoken from her nap. Natsu headed down the stairs and opened the door.

"Wendy? What's up?"

"Natsu-san, you and everyone else have to come to the guild now." Wendy said with a serious tone.

Natsu's face became serious as he heard Wendy. "Why? What's wrong?"

"We found something that could possibly help us find Zach."

"We're here! What did you guys find?"

The Dragneel family burst through the doors and walked towards the group that was gathered around a table.

"We've received an anonymous tip from someone that saw someone that looked like Zach." Erza reported as the Dragneel's approached the group.

"When and where?" (Y/N) asked as she looked at Erza.

"They said that they saw him about 2 days ago at the ports in Hargeon. We think that he may have arrived from another country by ship."

"Did they see if he was alone?" Natsu asked.

"They said that they saw two other people with him. Like a husband and wife."

(Y/N)'s and Natsu's face hardened.

"It's them."

The people in the group nodded.

"We've asked all the guilds in Fiore to be on the lookout for Zach and/or the people that were with him. So far, no one else has seen them."

"You said that they were spotted at Hargeon, right?"

Erza nodded, "Yes. We've already asked Lamia Scale if they could search the town to see if they find Zach or the couple, but they couldn't find anything."

"They wouldn't have stayed in town long enough for someone to spot them. That one person was lucky to have spotted them. If they didn't want to be spotted, they probably wanted to go somewhere secluded, like a forest or maybe a small village." (Y/N) thought out loud.

Just as Erza was about to say something, the doors burst open, revealing Romeo and Alzack. They were both breathing heavy as they quickly made their way towards the group.

"Romeo, Alzack, what's wrong? It looks like you guys ran all the way here." Lucy asked as she looked at the two with a confused look.

"That's because we did." Romeo replied as he looked at her.

"We heard something while on our way back from our job." Alzack announced as he wiped sweat off of his forehead.

"What?"

"Apparently there's this kid that can control the dirt and earth around him. Apparently he can also use fire, just like Natsu. Some people think that he's a dragon slayer since he says that in his attacks. We asked the person and they gave us a description that sounded a lot like Zach." Alzack explained.

(Y/N) and Natsu quickly moved towards Alzack and Romeo.

"Where? Did they say where they saw him?" (Y/N) asked.

"They said they saw him in Iwata." 

"Let's go then!"

'Zach, I'm going to get you back, I promise.'
