The sheets were rumpled in a heap at the foot of the bed, and it seemed very probable that they would stay there until the son of Hades occupied the bed once again. He could barely sleep these past few nights, his separation from Will taking a heavy toll on his rest. Attempts at naps didn't work either, much to his displeasure. Nightmares tormented him nightly, and his insomnia had returned full force.
Nico was currently standing in the corner of his room; he had just returned from dinner with the Weasley family. Molly's cooking rivaled that of the camp's cooks, and that was saying something. It was just a simple chicken pot pie, but it was absolutely delicious, making him very upset that he could only stomach a little bit of it before he was full.
Currently, he was admiring the cast of a rainbow on the pale wall, it's colors blending and meshing. He had double checked the door to make sure it was locked, and put up silencing spells to protect his privacy. Nico reached into pocket and withdrew a drachma before tossing it into the rainbow.
"Oh Iris, goddess of the rainbow, accept my offering." The gold coin disappeared into thin air, indicating that the goddess was satisfied with the ancient currency. The fractured light morphed into a blank screen, awaiting the name of the intended call recipient.
"Matthew Lewis," he said in a soft voice and the rainbow began to shimmer. The image of the son of Demeter solidified before him. He was in the edge of the forest at Camp Half Blood, practicing his powers. Poison Ivy and powerful vines erupted from the dirt, clawing their way up the wooden dummies, cracking the hardwood and tearing it apart from the inside. Matthew stopped once he saw the image of the son of Hades shimmering in front of him.
"Nico? What's wrong?" Matthew asked, concern lacing his voice.
"Nothing's wrong, Matthew, don't worry." The younger's shoulders relaxed slightly.
"I just wanted you to know I'm gonna be at Hogwarts this year. I'm contacting all the demigods to let them know beforehand." Nico told the boy, watching closely for his reaction. The son of Demeter grimaced slightly, and began to speak carefully, knowing that he was treading on sensitive ground.
"I hate to break it to you, but you are going to need to contact a lot more than just the demigods. You're going to need to contact the school ghosts," he told the older male
"Di immortales, Hecate didn't tell me about this," He mumbled. "How many ghosts are there?"
"Around fifty to a hundred? I don't really know, not an overwhelming amount but there are quite a few." Nico took a deep breath and nodded, biting the inside of his cheek in annoyance.
"Okay, thank you Matthew." He released the flesh between his teeth as he spoke, ignoring the burning sensation of his angry nerves.
"I'll see you later, Nico." The said boy nodded, returning the farewell before Matthew turned back to training.
Nico cut off the connection and took a deep breath, thinking. He would have to shadow travel to Hogwarts before hand to let the ghosts know he was coming.
"Oh Iris, goddess of the rainbow accept my offering." Once again, the rainbow stood at attention, awaiting it's next guest.
"Show me Tom Felton," Nico said into the rainbow. It shimmered and the young silver haired demigod appeared in the mist.
Tom was training with Jason in their cabin, they were currently locked in hand to hand unarmed combat, and both of the the shirtless boys were obviously equally skilled. Their bodies were glistening with sweat and a look of absolute concentration was chiseled onto their faces. They circled one another, fists swinging at unguarded ribs and feet coming up to try and distract defenses.
