Jack had to stay in the hospital for a few weeks to heal. Mark asked the doctor if he could take jack home so he could heal in a place he was familiar with so he could somewhat relax. The doctor let them leave now jacks upstairs sleeping while mark had a silent argument with dark, just to keep his face normal while he did.
//in marks mind\\
"Dark why did you do this!?"
Dark chuckles.
"I wanted to I guess, just to see how long it takes for a human to pass out from their ribs crushing their lungs."
Mark growled to himself then sighed.
He was worried that jack would be scared of him. He started to think about what would happen when he woke up. He got snapped out of thought when he heard jack walk down the stairs slowly. He looked over his shoulder at him and smiled softly.
"Hey, how you feeling?.."
"M-My chest still hurts..."
Jack said quietly and without looking up at mark. Mark frowned and sighed, knowing that jack was scared. He's not gonna blame him though. He scared of dark too.
"Well you know where the painkillers are.."
Mark mumbled then looked back at the tv.
Jack slowly walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water and some painkillers that the doctor gave him. He quickly took them then let out a shaky sigh as he placed his cup on the counter.
He walked back to the living room and sat down on the couch. He still hasn't looked at mark.
"I get it that you're scared..."
Mark glanced over at Jack who was looking down at the floor.
"But you know that I wouldn't hurt you. I love you jack and if I could've done something I would have and you know I would..."
Jack looked up at mark with tears in his eyes.
"He made it look so real..."
Mark sighed then moved over so he could hug him.
"Don't think about it...I'm here now and I'll keep you safe..."
