Hey, guys, writer here. I just wanted to let y'all know that this is only my second book that I have written so please bare with me. I'll try my best to post at least once if not twice a week. If you guys want to read my other story, be my guest, but I don't think it's very good. Please comment on my stories and tell me what's up and give me tips on how I can make my stories (or just this story) more interesting and action-packed. I'll warn you now that there will be many, many plot twists in this story.
BTW, the pic above is Tabatha, the main character, played by Brittany Snow. Hope you enjoy!
"Why me?" I ask to the Holy Heaven above, to God. "Why am I the leader of all the angels in the world? Oh, right. Because I'm God's first creation, well, out of us who are still alive on God's green Earth. The lead angel of all. What kind of savior I am supposed to be when I don't even know how to lead the angels left alive? So frustrating.
"Tabatha! Get your ass up here, come on! It's a wonder why your leader instead of me."
Uh. Brian. My very, very impatient brother who's jealous of me, a female, becoming leader over him, a male (obviously). If you can't tell, I'm not very liked among my kind. Never have, but they REALLY don't now that I was chosen just a handful of days ago. "I'm coming! Jeez, can you be patient for once in your long, pathetic life?"
"No, and I still wonder how you are leader over ME."
Same. "Well, you're just gonna have to keep wondering." And so will I........
We made sure we were in a secluded spot before we shook out our wings. Mine, being leader and all, were pure white and fluffy, except for the tips, which were rimmed with gold and came in sharp points. Oh, did I happen to mention, they're the largest and most awe-inspiring out of all angels? Meanwhile, Brian's wings were the complete opposite of mine; jet black and glossy, while at the tips they were ringed with silver that came in jagged points. I always wondered how an angel's wings could be so dark and sleek while everyone else's are lighter to almost as white as mine. All angels have their own unique wings that suit them the best at birth, but the leader's wings are already picked out for them by, you guessed it, the Almighty God himself.
Once we were in flight heading home, I asked Brian, "Um, what exactly is the hurry? You look like a little torpedo on fire."
"The hurry is that the Council called us and wants us to come up to Heaven for a little discussion."
Uh oh. I don't like the sound of this, I thought as we flew Upstairs. What's happened now?
{In Heaven}
"Alright, what's going on?" I demanded from the Council of angels surrounding me.
"Uh, Leader of-" I cut off my second-in-command Israel before he could get the rest out.
"Just call me madam."
"Alright, madam, we are in the middle of a serious crisis."
"What crisis? Does it involve humans?"
"Um, yes, they...th-they are the targets."
"targets? Of who?"
"It's not a who. It's a..... it's a what, madam."
Realization hit me. "No......no, not again! Not after all this time of keeping them contained! Why now?"
"Madam, no one can answer that question," Israel replied calmly. "All we can do about it is come up with plan and let it play out, praying to God that it works."
"And how long will that take? How long will it take for them to rise up and attack?"
"Those are very good questions that we have no answers on."
