Y/N POV
So things have been going great between and I, minus the whole no sex until engagement thing. Normani and Sergio have moved in with me and that's made me very happy. I like waking up next to Normani in the morning and having Sergio come in the room because he's hungry.
Tonight I have to go to this fundraiser that my boss is throwing to raise money for the local Boys & Girls Club. That's the thing I love about my boss he likes to give back to the community. Normani is gonna be a few minutes late because she has to teach her dance class, hopefully she won't be too late.
Sergio is sitting on the bed watching me get dressed. Yasmine is coming over to watch Sergio while we go to this event.
"Daddy how come you're so dressed up?" Sergio asked.
"Mommy and I have to go to an important event tonight." I said.
"What kind of event daddy?" Sergio asked.
"A fundraiser." I said as I tucked in my shirt.
"What's a fundraiser?" Sergio asked.
My son and all of his questions.
"It's an event where people raise money to help out a good cause." I said.
"Like Papa and his Wounded Warrior stuff?" Sergio asked.
"That's exactly what's it's like son. Except the fundraiser I'm going to is gonna help out kids." I said.
"That's cool." Sergio said.
I put on my suspenders and adjusted them, Sergio didn't take his eyes off me once as I got dressed. He was so interested in what I was doing. I was the same way when I was younger, anytime my dad did something I was watching him.
"Son I need to ask you an important son and I want you to be honest with me, okay." I said.
"Okay daddy what is it?" Sergio asked.
"How do you feel about mommy and I getting married?" I asked.
"I thought you guys were already married." Sergio said.
I chuckled and said, "No son mommy and I aren't married, we've been together just not together together. But I wanna know how you feel about is getting married."
"You guys are the grown ups not me, why does my opinion matter?" Sergio asked.
I sat down on the bed and Sergio hopped in my lap. "I know how much you love mommy and I know how much mommy loves you. And I don't think I could go forth with planning a proposal without knowing how Mommy's number one man feels." I said.
"Well daddy now that mention it like that. I'd really like it if you and mommy got married. Ever since you've come back mommy has been super happy and that's all she ever talks about is how happy you made her. I see that she makes you happy too daddy. You can marry my mommy under free conditions. You never break her heart, you love her forever and ever, and you never put your hands on her." Sergio said.
"I think you mean three condition, but I will do everything you said son. I'll always love mommy, I'll never break her heart, and I will never put my hands on her." I said.
"Good then you have my blessing daddy." Sergio said.
"Awesome, when it's time to go ring shopping I'll bring you with me so we can pick out the perfect ring for mommy." I said.
"Cool." Sergio said.
I got back up and so I could finish getting dressed. I tied my bow tie then put on my shoes. Sergio stood up on the bed and held up my blazer so I could put it on.
