You shot me in the back as I turned away,
Then ran to my side to see if I was okay.
I knew I was hit, but I couldn't see the blood,
Blinded by love.
I though I was safe, away from harm,
Deaf, I couldn't hear the alarms.
Don't you think I'm pretty, dripping in blood?
Soaked in evidence of careless love.
Lips like daggers, scaring with every line,
Tattoos left, to keep you in mind.
Stained by empty words, left on my skin,
Somehow the lies always seem to seep in.
Don't I look pretty, beaten black and blue?
Bruises you left to remind me of you.
You push me down so I'll look up to you.
My heart, body, and mind were never enough for you.
All you ever did was lie, but your lies have caught up to you.
You're not going to watch me die, I've already given up on you.
