When You're Gone

I open my eyes just to see an empty space,

Then close them again to see your face.

When you're gone so am I,

I close my eyes, and dream we fly.

I forget you're gone,

I wake up looking for your arms.

Disappointed I roll back over,

No energy, because without you I'm sober.

Time inches along, days take forever.

Waiting for you, so I can be better.

Your phone calls are all that keep me awake,

But I don't know how many more goodbyes I can take.

I want the call that says your on your way,

I just wish today was that day.
