I knew you were phony, I knew you were fake.
I just didn't want to be lonely, so I took all the lies I could take.
I let you play me,
Even though I didn't believe a word you'd say to me.
I watched your lies grow and tangle.
It was never a surprise; you were never an angel.
No matter how hard I'd try to pretend,
Deep down I knew, your lies would never end.
You lied to keep me around.
When I cried, your lies continued to pour down.
Even though its now over,
I'm still learning how to run.
I keep looking back over my shoulder,
And now you're just lying for fun.
