I walked through several little lanes and boulevards with Blake at my side. It's  funny that just a few years back we would spend our entire day babbling about literally anything whereas now there's nothing but silence between us. To engage myself in something, I began looking at the random buildings around us. Some were sky high, some were pretty short, some were 4-5 storeys but all seemed more than familiar.

We crossed the road and entered another street. This time, a street of bungalows and even more familiar than the last one. The street lights which brightened up the night to give a feel of daytime shone over each and every house. I glanced from my left to the right to the left to the right and so on as we trudged ahead.

I stopped in my tracks when I saw a house that reminded me very much about yesterday. It was the largest on the street , brown in colour and gave away vibes of rubbish that I would rather not encounter my whole life.  Just to be sure that it was the house I thought it was, I went and read the name plate. And she score's. It's the house I feared it was.

"Kate, where did you go? It's not exactly the right time to play Hide n Seek so come out come out wherever you are!"

Here I was on the verge of pulling my hair out in front of House no. 3 and Blake the smarty pants was looking around for me right on the spot. Doesn't he care enough about me to atleast move out of his place to find me?

"Care to move buddy?"

He spun around almost instantly and exclaimed, " There you are." He ran upto me and began pulling my hand as a gesture to show that 'we have to move on, why are you glued to that place?!'

"Wait. I know this house."

"Great to know you have extended your hand of friendship to houses too. Proud of you. Now let's go!"

" I'm not kidding. This is Jason's house."

"Who's Jason?"

I opened my mouth to spill the beans when the devil himself came out of his house and volunteered to answer without even asking me. How did he come out so fast? Was he spying?

"I'm a friend. Who are you? Owner of a ladieswear shop who loves to wear what he sells?"

"No he's not. And so aren't you."

"What do you mean Kate? And where have you been? I was worried sick."

" I mean that you are definitely not a friend of mine and please don't act as if you care about me. You've shown enough love towards me by mentioning Lisa."

"About that. I'm really sorry. I was a fool. I-"

"Enough. We are going Ryder."
