Who would believe that a girl like me, strictly afraid of any type of dogs, was enjoying with a dog. Even if you wouldn't, let me tell you this, I am playing with cookie! Running all over the house behind him.
Dogs aren't bad after all and all the credit goes to Jason. After he pushed me inside the room, he came behind me and moved cookie. Then, he held my hand and placed it on cookie's back. It felt awesome. (The holding hand part.....actually touching the dog too.)
I almost forgot, me and Jason are home alone. Turns out his parents left for a business conference just before I came. They wont be back for atleast a week. That's great news for me cause I can't afford to go back to my house. Even though it's just a lane away, it's good to have someone with you on such a dangerous mission.
Luckily, Jason agrees. He offered me to stay and also help.
Oh my gosh! Dogs are so tiring. I need to get some rest.
I collapsed on the red couch behind me. Cookie galloped towards me and dived onto my stomach excitedly.
"Ouch. You're so tiring Cookie,"I admitted, stroking his hair.
"He sure is. Wanna eat?", Jason shouted from the kitchen.
"I'm dying. Please! Just to be clear though, do you cook well?"
"I'm not cooking. Don't worry. I checked the refrigerator. There's nothing but a note signed by mom. She says to call Aunt Marysa but I don't think she'll approve of you being in the house. Especially with me being a boy and us home alone."
He came out from the kitchen and sprawled beside me." Up for Chinese?"
"Anything would do right now. All the mice decided to sleep over in my stomach today."
"Good humour girl. Here you go,"Jason said, tossing the remote onto me."your reward. Today's special, the channel of your wish and the dish of my wish. Will be back in 15 minutes. Bye."
I took hold of my reward. Jason went near the T.V. set and switched on a few buttons before disappearing from the house. The first thing that flashed on the screen was Rihanna's Work video. I was not in the mood for that so I began surfing. I settled on watching Pokemon.
"Pikachu. He's so cute! "

I looked out of the window in front of me while chewing on hakka noodles. The dining table at Jason's house was the size of life. It had high wooden chairs, like those often found on bar counters. The table itself was huge. 6 feet long and bordered with glass. On top of it was a fruit basket, bottles of black pepper and chilli flakes and a container holding spoons. The whole thing was attached to the kitchen, alongside the serving window.
Aimlessly watching outside, I didn't even realise that the dusk had become night. Seeing the darkness, I turned to face Jason and asked him what time it was.
"9:30. Why what happened? Not enjoying my company?"
"9:30!!!! It's almost midnight. I better start getting ready, and you," I darted my eyesight on Jason,"keep the garden's address ready on a piece of paper. And please, write in good handriting, or at least a understandable one."
I hastily got out of my chair, knocked over the spoons in the process and fell down the instant I touched my feet on the ground.
"Take a chill pill. Midnight is like 2 and a half hours away. Relax ok."Jason came down from his chair and gave me a hand."And DO NOT underestimate the handwriting of a common man."
"Ya alright. Now pull me up."
But what do they say, boys will be boys. And I have no doubt they won't be. Following the guidelines of this saying, Jason swung the hand he had lowered to help me and ran it through his gorgeous hair.
"Don't expect me to clean up after you."
"Fine."
I got up, stumbling, then brushed the dust off my pants.
"So you really like this peice of burning hot fire eh?",Jason broke out cheesily, pointing himself.
"La la la la la."
"Don't you la la me! You know you want a taste of this fire. "
"Oh shut up."
"Oh so you don't? But what if I say I want a taste of this fire?", his finger was now on me.
"No you don't. You don't even like me that way. And plus, I already mentioned like 10 minutes before that I need to get ready for mid night. Even if there are 2 and a half hours. So bye."
I pushed his finger out of my way and took my plate to the kitchen, because I'm such a good girl. The sink was overloaded with crockery. I placed my plate on top of the stack as gently as I could, not wanting to be the victim of a glass avalanche.
I headed upstairs to change when it struck me that Jason wasn't a girl and he probably didn't have any clothes my style. Mid-flight, I turned around and skipped down.
"Hey by any chance, are you a girl?"
"What?!"
"I just needed some clothes my size. So just a thought."
"I don't. And I'm not sorry. You get to freeze outside in shorts, quite a nice scene for me right?"
He laughed a sarcastic laugh and walked away."Oh a very nice one indeed, Brownie."I felt a smirk coming around the corner of my lips.
"Who's brownie?"
"You off course. Jason Brown-nie. Isn't it nice too?"
"Who gave you the permission to call me that?"
"No one did but I figured it would be ok since you aren't a gentlemen anyway."
Jason didn't come back at me, surpringly. Instead he began counting on his fingers."Three. You have insulted me three times since you came here. Actually, four. It's time for revenge."
"Oh quit acting like a kid. Take it sportingly dude."
"Ok so I wasn't gonna tell you this before but I know very well you want a relationship with me. But now, I'm gonna kill your hopes by telling you that I have a girlfriend. A better one that you not-hot mess can ever be. She too has a crush on me but unlike in your case, I likw her too."
I heard a click. Probably my heart breaking. I wasn't planning on being his girlfriend but I certainly had hopes. Jason was right. And he was also right about killing them.
I tried to hold back my tears, "You're telling me this now? If you would have told me before I would have never become friends with you and hang around the whole day here. It would have atleast saved my heart break. Getting to know you was the best thing that ever happened to me, and now it's all shattered."
"Too bad. Her name's Lisa by the way."
"What about you wanting a piece of this fire?"
"Didn't you get it, I was messing with you. You know, timepass."
Rage took control of me. I couldn't believe I never recognised what Jason really was, a playboy.
"Lisa huh? Nice couple. Totally ship you two. Jerk."
I kicked him so hard after that, that he flew and landed on top of the centre table. Broke his back probably. Atleast I hope so.
Feeling much better, I ran out of the rubbish person's house. Sitting on the cold Marble porch and sobbing reminded me of my last time with mom and made me cry even louder. Kate stay strong. It was just a crush. You can forget it. I kept telling myself.
After what felt like and hour, I was ready, altough not fully. My mouth tasted like salt, my cheeks were frozen under the dried tears and there was a huge lump in my throat.
Somehow, I compelled myself to go on.
