Some considered Old Homestead to be God's home of Georgina.

Josh knew nothing about that place, but he knew it surely was enough to give meaning to the name. He stood at the front of his new-old lawn, the grass was way too long abandoned and the walkway looked as if a junkie had taken a jackhammer to it back in the 70's.

It was rather displeasing if you asked him. Having loved the American city lifestyle his entire life, he wasn't used to the rundown and neglected scenery of this rough Canadian area, he was used to his spick and span, clean and buzzing with opportunities city of Los Angeles, California. He took a step onto the path of cracked cement plates, immediately trying to retain his balance as he felt it shift in the slippery mud underneath. It was disgusting how untamed everything was, and amazing that he was even capable of finding the next few plates in the grass that sprawled and stretched up to his own hip bones.

"Well hey there!"

Josh stumbled at the sudden shouting from his left, he looked over to see a small girl at the door of her own house, just right next to his.

"Oh, hi, how are you?" he asked, hesitantly. The girl looked to be around his age, but still, very small. She was gorgeous, and if it wasn't for her mud stained denim overalls hanging over her equally mud stained white thrift tee and her combat boots, he'd think she was a city slicker much like himself.

"I'm doin' just dandy, you don't look very much suited to your environments over there now, do ya'? I'll take a wild guess and say you're not used to these kinds of places," She chuckled, brushing her pulling her black toque off her head to reveal her brown bangs. "The names Nicole, and may I ask what yours is city boy?"

Josh was amazed at just how high pitched yet soft Nicole's voice was, it was like an angels. He continued trying to make his way across the god forbidden lawn as best as he could. "yeah, you could say that. I'm Josh." Nicole smiled at that before making her way down the steps, her combat boots making it easy for her to get across the lawns and start helping Josh carry the rest of his luggage.

"You realize you're pretty much livin' in a trailer, yeah? You'll regret bringin' all this here fancy stuff when one of the rascals catches eye of it and decides to make a welcomin' visit. This place ain't exactly country, it's more like white trash central, but we tend to try for both." She chuckled, continuing past Josh and into the house as he froze in fear at her words.

"That happens here?" Josh whispered, still loud enough for Nicole to magically hear, "Oh yeah city boy, out here the nicest and most expensive thing you'll find in stores is a double barrel shotgun if you can even make the money for it before you die."

Josh walked through the door, setting his stuff down before looking to see Nicole already putting what looked the most valuable of his stuff in little nooks and crannies in the trailer. "So this is the type of place firearm is like gold then, huh?" he asked, "should I be purchasing some protection then?"

"While it's advised, I'd wait it out for a few months to make your first purchase on a gun, and learn about them if you don't know nothin'. I can give you one a my daddy's out on my front porch so others can see and know you're being protected by us, but you're gon' need to know how to use one first. You do know how a gun works, right?" Nicole turned to him after stuffing his last watch away in the back board of a cupboard. Josh stared at her blankly, and Nicole instantly read his face. "A'righty then... We'll work on that. This place ain't too bad, but like I said, this is hick park, city boy."

Nicole smirked as she walked past Josh, slyly brushing his shoulder with hers before stopping at the door and looking back, her foot already halfway out, "And city boy, you'll wanna get rid a those porn mags full a naked dudes, anyone but me breaks in here and sees those an' the break-in'll be least of your worries. Welcome to Old Homestead."

One final smirk graced Nicole's face before she disappeared out the door, mesh and metal slamming behind her, and an embarrassingly red faced Josh Dun stood in the middle of his new home.
