--Leland’s POV--
“I trust no one” all of us gasped at her because her eyes changed from their normal brown to a silver and red color. We watched as she picked up the twins and walked out the door not even looking back
“what the hell was that?” my dad was just looking at the door where she walked out
“dad, are you ok?” he snapped his head to me and looked slightly scared
“yea I’m fine, but I think I know what’s wrong with her” we walked into the living room and everybody sat down to hear it
“so whats wrong with my mate?” my dad looked at troy and shook his head
“when I was younger my dad used to tell me stories about this wolf, it was extremely rare but when it was found they killed it because it was a monster” amos looked confused
“why do you keep saying it?” my dad still seamed shocked
“because that’s what it is. It wasn’t human therefore it didn’t have a gender” amos nodded his head as my dad continued
“when this wolf took control the humanity part completely disappears and if the human cant get control back their lost forever” troy shook his head
“ok, where exactly does eva come into this?” my dad looked at troy
“will you wait?” troy sat back with his mouth shut as my dad nodded his head
“good, this wolf was pure white with a golden tint and blue flames surrounding it. It was a complete nuisance, my dad had killed 4 of them in all his life. They can be in human form but it still has control. Eva has turned into this thing and right now, she’s battling a losing fight” troy looked pissed
“so your telling me, my best friend, my mate and your daughter, might have to be killed?” my dad had a tear in his eye as he nodded his head
“if she doesn’t get control fully by the next red moon, there is no hope and she’ll have to be killed”
--Eva’s POV--
I was dodging every bullet that was shot at me and I was surprised because my reflexes have never been this good. After the last clip was empty gabe grabbed another gun and started shooting again but a lot faster. An hour later and all the guns were empty so he started throwing the knives and I was doing good until I heard a twig snap behind me. I turned to see who it was just as gabe threw one and it hit my arm slicing it
“damn it” gabe was at my side in an instant looking scared
“im sorry mommy” I smiled and kissed him
“its ok baby. Im fine” but I knew I wasn’t because again I felt that rage building up and this time it was towards my son. I packed up quickly and sped back to the house, after I got the kids out and settled inside I went to my office where I found troy and andy with my dad and brother
“listen guys, I need to go somewhere so can you watch the kids?” troy looked at me confused
“where are you going that the kids cant go?” I felt the rage again and it was getting harder to hold it back
“I just need to go, if you really love me then you’ll trust me and let me go” he seemed hesitant but nodded his head
“ok, be safe” I nodded my head and ran to my room packing some clothes, then I went to the kitchen and grabbed some water and chips before I ran back out to my jeep. I kept driving until I got to the cave my papa told me about, I grabbed my bag and locked up before I started climbing up to the highest cave.
