The room was cold, Avi was hung by his wrists, chest bare.
Two guards watched him as he hung there silently. He couldn't use his power, fireproof, smart way of thinking.
The door opened as Avi looked up to see a smug Jeremy, and he made Avi's skin crawl.
"It's a funny thing really...how I knew letting Kirstin live with her friends instead of me was a bad idea but you learn from mistakes" he paused, "as you will learn from yours"
"Well maybe you shouldn't of been a careless mate and stayed with her through her heat" Avi growled as Jeremy scowled at him.
"She is a strong woman, I trusted her..well clearly I can't trust her no more so I locked her in our room" Jeremy spoke.
"You animal" Avi spat.
"So are you..you freak, mutant- unmated scum. Did you see what happened to your sister when she betrayed me?"
Avi looked away as Jeremy carelessly gave a laugh, "YES Avi, she became a slave all because she was a snake in this world and snakes can't be trusted."
Jeremy walked closer to Avi "do you want to join your beloved sister?" he asked in a quiet tone as Avi still wouldn't make eye contact with him, Jeremy roughly grabbed Avi's jaw "LOOK AT ME YOU SCUM...otherwise your little friends are gonna get hurt."
"Why?" Avi spoke
"Why what freak?"
"Why are you doing this?"
"Avi I am a part of the government the secret part that keeps from this world unexposed from the real one above...and if you my friend get exposed you will be tested on sold into human trafficking not just you but your friends, so you should be thankful you live the life you do."
Jeremy looked Avi up and down before he gave a disgusted huff "don't know what she saw in you" as he walked out of the door leaving Avi alone.

"Scotty?" Mitch called as they sat back to back in the cell.
"Yea?"
"I wanna see you"
"You can't we're separated.." Scott mumbled as he missed seeing the smaller man.
"Hope Avi is ok...and Kirstin too" Mitch spoke as both Kevin and Scott agreed. "How are we gonna get out of here?"
"I don't know Mitchy" Scott replied.
Silence fell over the room "so everything is power proof?" Scott asked out loud.
"Yea we are useless in these boxes" Kevin spoke.
Mitch scanned the cell as he noticed a small seal between the wall and the glass, gently running his finger along it small vines started to grow, he gasped "guys!"
"What's wrong?!" Scott asked in concern,
"Well I think that the cells are not fully power proof"
"How?" Kevin said
Mitch ran his finger over the seal again, watching more lush green vines grow and seep out of the seal slowly shifting the glass, Mitch held his hands out in front of him as he felt the vibrations of him moving the glass as the vines worked with him.
Scott and Kevin felt the movement happening as they tried to brace themselves of the small earthquake Mitch was currently making.
With a push the glass fell away from Mitch making it shatter, he stepped out of the box and ran to the other boxes.
"How?" Scott asked
"The seal for the glass it can break easily" Mitch said pointing down where the wall and the glass joined.
"Ok stand back Mitch, Kevin are you ready?" Scott said as mitch took cover.
Both Scott and Kevin used their powers, the glass fell as Mitch had already covered himself. Once it was safe to uncover Mitch ran towards Scott jumping into his arms.

"Ok let's go find people" Scott said putting Mitch down.
Quiet,
The two guards left him now as Avi was all alone, nothing but his own breathing to keep him company, he tried to use his power, turning the cuffs bright red as he did not burn himself. For someone who does not have this power or any powers would burn themselves terribly.
When Avi was about to give up he heard some shouting outside of the door, with a crash and a bang the door swung open to reveal Scott who's eyes were jet black as he had smaller black veins coming from his eyes and down his face.
As Mitch his eyes emerald green, glowing as he had dusted green cheeks with small vines that complimented his face as most of his body was green with leaves and vines swirling around his body.
And lastly Kevin who's eyes were golden that contrasted nicely against his dark skin, the three of them fell into the room panting because they was out of breath, also when they use their powers to the strongest ability it changes them.
Avi was in shock as three of his friends looked tired and beaten, the three looked up at Avi as Mitch was the first one to stand as he went over to Avi his eyes still green, reaching out a hand Avi had to stoop him otherwise mitch would burn his vines.
"Guys? How did you get out?" Avi asked as Scott and Kevin leaned against the wall.
"Mitch found out that the cells weren't completely power proof, so we escaped and now they are looking for us...where is Kirstin?" Scott said
"Woah! And I don't know jeremy has been teasing me about it, he should be back soon but there is nowhere for you to hide" Avi spoke as the others moved away from the door.
"Surprise attack let's do this" Scott said as they hid in the shadows.
The door slammed open as a distressed Jeremy stormed in, "you bastard where are your friends!?"
"What?" Avi replied
"Don't play this shit Kaplan-"
Within one quick flash tree roots squeezed at Jeremy's throat as Mitch stepped forward his eyes fully growing green as well as parts of his skin, Scott was behind him, his eyes black as Kevin's was white.
"Enough Jeremy! Hand over Kirstin!" Scott said as his stare never left his face. Jeremy smirked as he was still gasping for air.
"Never freak" he spat, as Mitch twisted the root even more making his face go red from the lack of oxygen.
