I wake up the next morning at six thirty. Thinking I have to drag myself out of bed and go to the horrid thing they call a school.
I lay there in my bed. Not feeling school to begin with. But I have to go. I slide out of my bed letting my feet hit the cold hardwood. I sit at the end of my bed trying to get use to the light. Finally I stand up letting all my weight onto my feet.
I look in the mirror at my hair, should I shower? I walk closer to see if my hairs greasy. Shower.
My hand hits the doorknob quickly but softly pulling it open to the right. walking down the hallway towards the bathroom. I hear scattering coming up my stairs. My cats running away from one another. They both run past me not caring about were they are going. I start to keep walking trying not to step on them. I get into the bathroom, turn on the shower and get in.
While I'm in the shower I always think of things that have happened and what I could do to fix it. first thing that comes to mind.
Why was Darian's dad at my house?
Was Darian in trouble? I will ask him at school today.
I eventually get out of the shower and hear my mom moving, finally. I thought she worked nights but apparently she worked both yesterday so she has a day off. I hear her moan and groan then shout as loud as a morning voice can telling me I was suspended.
Shit.
Suspended.
I totally forgot.
Whoops. back to bed I go. I start towards my moms room to see if she has a hangover.
"Mom?" I say softly so I don't sound like a dragon instead of her daughter.
"What?! Go to bed you're suspended!" she moans.
"What about Kristina and Paige? They have school." I say pointing out the obvious.
"Shit. Can you give me the phone?" she reaches her arm up patting around her bed thinking it was there.
"You're not calling them in again. They've missed enough school. Ill get them up. But you're taking them." I state.
The girls have missed to much school over my mom being hungover. I think they understand why but they shouldn't have to miss out on their learning experience. Even if Kristina's only 6 and Paige is 9. They need to go to school.
I hear my mom at least moving in her room as I walk towards the girls.
"Com'on raspberries. Time to get up. School time." I shout loud enough that they can hear. I call them raspberries because they both have curly hair and when they get upset their face goes red.
"I don't wanna!" Paige shouts back.
"You don't want to? Well that's to darn bad. You either get up or I make you into raspberry juice!!" I yell and start tickling them both. They both trying to fight my grip on their stomachs but don't succeed.
"I don't wanna be raspberry juice!" Kristina screams with laughter.
