I'm running through the woods again.I don't know why, but I break through to a clearing. I skid to a stop. I back away once I see it's not a clearing, its a cliff. Peacekeepers are almost here. Either way I die. I turned around and slowly lean back, falling slowly... It was almost peaceful, untill I landed in my mother's arms. She was crying uncontrollably.
"Why? Why my dear? Why?" Mother sobbed. Silently, she took out a knife.
"to put you out of your misery."
In a whirl of metal and shame she brought the knife down, peircing my heart. She looked at my lifeless eyes, as if trying to read something upside down. I spoke quietly:
"Night... m-ma.. res.. nightmares.. mother..."
She looked at me, and let me go, and I was falling again. I fell into a grave, and mother stood on top, slowly shoveling dirty on top of me.
I woke up realizing it was dream. My blankets were on the ground a foot away. My night-clothes were tattered and all messy.  I glanced to my left and saw a glass water on my the table by my bed. I carefully sipped it. My mother came in, and looked at me with her amber eyes. her hair was pulled back and her dress had three bottons on the front. These were fancy clothes for the districts. Reaping clothes, I realized.
"Today..."
I didn't even realize I said the word till she replied:
"Yes, my dear. Go bathe, Harry and I are making breakfast."
"thank you mother."
I said slowly getting up. I walk to the small bath room and boil some water for a bath. once I finish getting cleaned up, I see my mother has left out a very pretty dress for me. It was layered two times with a beautiful pink cloth. The two buttons at the top were unclipped when I slipped it on. I buttoned one, and left the other one alone. Then I slipped down the hallway where my brother, Harry, lay slumped on a chair. I pulled him in a hug.
"don't worry you'll be fine."
I say, and squeeze a little.
"But..."he doesn't need to finish the thought.
"Harry," I said while smoothing his hair down,
"Your only 14, Harry. your name is in that big glass bowl 4 times. You are not going to be picked. You cannot let the games get to you, that is how they comtroll you. Okay?"
"Okay."
The bell went off signaling for us to leave. Mother hugs us both and bids us goodbye. It took everything for me to not cry.
We started walking and it was like one I was only Harry's age: Scared, confused, dazed and relief that my name was only in there 24 times. nothing like what my older sister, Heather, had in there. We reached the table where they prick your finger, a sign said:
" finger pricking for reaping" .
We progressed forward, working our way through the crowd where they pricked mine and they pricked Harry's finger. I went over to the older kids. you could see the beauitful beach of district 4.
"So pretty, isn't it?" my friend Gabrielle said. I jumped by surprise and she chuckled.
"Not funny." I say careful looking up at the stage.
"Attention everyone! we are starting now!"
said our cluelessly stupid escourt, Tandoori.
"Happy hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor. Now, now, let's get started. As always, ladies first." I froze as she walked over to the big bowl full of innocent childrens names.
"Hazel Grant!" and then everyone's eyes were on me.
